Colorado Girls: October 2009
http://sallysbasement.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Everyday is a good day in Colorado, even days that look like this from my front window. Afterall, Suzy and I are cozy in our little place with our fire that turns on with the flip of a wall switch and the hum of someone cleaning sidewalks outsi. De Would you believe I don't even have on the heat? Last night Mike, Ash, and I finally tried the cupcakes I ordered from Groupon, an online service that offers big discounts to encourage people to try out businesses in the area.

Colorado Girls: September 2010
http://sallysbasement.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 26, 2010. So many exciting life events to recount since my last blog. All these make it hard to get down to writing, but I do want to stay in touch. Maybe I can remember best if I go from present to past:. Yesterday I had the privilege of accompanying pony club members to a corn maze. Wouldn't you know it would be the biggest in the world? Great experience for this directionally challenged Midwesterner. Vening at church and Walmart. It was a fun day all around. The Sunday before I tried...

Colorado Girls: Quick Takes from Denver
http://sallysbasement.blogspot.com/2010/06/quick-takes-from-denver.html
Sunday, June 27, 2010. Quick Takes from Denver. Quick Takes is a borrowed term I gleaned from my daughter, Amanda. My thinking is that it is better to just be in touch even if my thoughts are not all organized. Here goes:. 1 It is difficult for me to think straight because I am so excited that Manda, John, and Syd are coming to visit this week. We have so many plans for fun things- the zoo, the creek, the pool,. 4 My dear friend, Jolee, is my newest partner in this trading adventure and has taught me the...

Something worth running for | Nate and Kara
https://conrad98.wordpress.com/2010/01/13/something-worth-running-for
Something worth running for. I know I haven’t written much the past few months…sickness, the holidays, my baby turning into a TODDLER! So, last year at this time I wanted to lose 75 pounds. I have lost 30 and ran a half-marathon! Two things I am very proud of, but still feel this “weight” of how much I have to go…. Okay…so I just signed up for THREE running races. A 5K (where you run into Wrigley, how cool is that? In April, a 10 mile race (that ends on the 50 yard line of Soldier Field! Fill in your det...

In Christ Alone | Nate and Kara
https://conrad98.wordpress.com/2010/01/17/in-christ-alone
Today in church, I was touched (as I often am) during worship. I love the song “In Christ Alone”. I think it speaks so clearly to what it means to fully trust the Lord and His plan for your life. It makes me want to weep. I am thankful for my Savior and my Jesus who commands my destiny. Here are the lyrics below:. In Christ alone my hope is found,. He is my light, my strength, my song;. This Cornerstone, this solid Ground,. Firm through the fiercest drought and storm. My Comforter, my All in All,. Januar...

Colorado Girls: April 2010

Sunday, April 04, 2010. If the Shoe Fits Wear It. Happy Easter. I hope your Easter shoes are a good fit and that you are wearing them today . remembering that Jesus Christ stood in our shoes so that we can stand in His one day. Suzy and I have been trying many shoes lately. She was less than thrilled with her snow booties. We didn't make it home from our snowy walk with all of her boots so if you have a 3 legged dog we will be happy to send them to you! Last week Ash and I donned our favorite cowboy boot...

Colorado Girls: November 2009
http://sallysbasement.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 30, 2009. Thanksgiving was more than I could have imagined. Amanda, Syd, and John visited from LA. We enjoyed a delicious comfort food dinner at Ashley's home, had friends over for Thanksgiving at my home, and ate out downtown. Then we viewed the lighting of one of Denver's downtown landmarks. My heart is so. Full and my heart is so happy! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Verse or Thought for Today. A Hope and A Future.

Colorado Girls: Traveling from 2010 to 2011
http://sallysbasement.blogspot.com/2011/02/traveling-from-2010-to-2011.html
Sunday, February 06, 2011. Traveling from 2010 to 2011. Goodness, gracious it has been a long time since I have blogged. What better time than when everyone else is watching the Super Bowl, there is snow on the ground in Denver, and it is a lazy Sunday afternoon. We did manage a hike in Malibu, which was gorgeous, that ended with a delicious seaside, seafood dinner. Yes, we are all on WW. It is always so tough to leave the CA fam and this time was no different. Mike left a few days before Ash and I d...

Colorado Girls: January 2010
http://sallysbasement.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 10, 2010. Ending 2009 Beginning 2010. The Christmas holidays were ones to remember. We began some new traditions. Ash, Mike, and I celebrated as if Christmas was Decemeber 17. One of the best parts for me is that they prepared the Christmas casseroles, which were delicious. There are so many rewards to getting older such as seeing your children mature into amazing adults. We were able to spend a lovely Christmas eve with John's parents and enjoy Christmas day opening lots of toys. The sto...
