The Yarn Mouse: Rilakkuma
http://the-yarn-mouse.blogspot.com/2014/07/rilakkuma.html
Giving second-hand and recycled yarn a new lease of life! Thursday, 3 July 2014. I discovered recently that a friend of mine is a huge fan of the insanely cute Japanese character Rilakkuma, whose name means 'Relax Bear'. Of course I knew immediately that I had to make an amigurumi Rilakkuma for him. He loved it so much that he took it to work and a colleague saw it and adored it too. He has now commissioned me to make another to give to her as a gift. Bright Yellow yarn (I used DK). Inc in each (12).

Giving second-hand and recycled yarn a new lease of life! Tuesday, 22 July 2014. Recently I happened to be at the pub meeting a group of Indie game developers who were in Brighton for the Develop conference. As the evening progressed and the beer flowed a tipsy discussion began between myself and a lovely chap called Alistair. Getting the face right was the most important part. The pattern started off inspired by a free Crochet-Along pattern from The Craft Frog. Thursday, 3 July 2014. Of course I knew im...

Giving second-hand and recycled yarn a new lease of life! Thursday, 30 July 2015. A few days ago I received an email from a lady called Doris from nearby Hastings. She had been very busy making some wonderful little teddies in a range of colours from my Rilakkuma. Pattern, and was also kind enough to send me a photograph. Here are the football team coloured teddies - Liverpool and Brighton - so cute! Thank you so much Doris for sharing your creations with me! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). City of the Shroud.

City of the Shroud. EGX Rezzed: From AAA Publisher to Indie Exhibitor. Posted on March 19, 2015 by Shibusuke. This past weekend, I attended one of my first major conferences as an indie developer. I went up to EGX Rezzed in London with the Brighton Game Collective. And next-door neighbor independent dev KnifeySpoonie. To help them exhibit their match-3 fighting game (not only am I serious about that, it’s awesome), Pro Puzzle Wrestling. Getting ready for the big event. For weeks beforehand, my LinkedIn i...

City of the Shroud. New Gunner Abilities and Animations, Insomnia 58, and Games by the Sea! Posted on July 25, 2016 by Shibusuke. How is your summer going? I recently acquired a wicked t-shirt shaped tan line by way of a nice, red sunburn. Who says developers never go outside? First, I want to give a big thank-you to Charlie Ewing, creator of Flow Point. And Liz Henwood of The Yarn Mouse. She’s doing our amigurumi! For showing City of the Shroud at Games by the Sea. When the Gunner has certain buffs acti...

The Yarn Mouse: Birthday Dogs
http://the-yarn-mouse.blogspot.com/2015/04/birthday-dogs.html
Giving second-hand and recycled yarn a new lease of life! Friday, 24 April 2015. A very good friend of mine has two beautiful, sweet-natured rescue dogs that I love, and I knew straight away that the yarn I had found would be perfect to make an amigurumi version of one of them - a dark grey/black Shepherd mix. Luckily I already had some lovely light golden wool that would be perfect for the other dog, a Podengo cross with one upright and one floppy ear. These are the results. They stand about 8cm tall.
