LuKE anToNY's SRT 251 PaGE: April 2007

http://srt251lacef.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html

LuKE anToNY's SRT 251 PaGE. Monday, April 9, 2007. These images show some of the construction details of the structure. Roof bracing can be seen and the column and floor joists which will support the second story. Hopefully i will be able to get more images of how these details develop. Here are a few images of an office complex which is going up not far from my house. The site attracted my attention as it features tilt up concrete construction, and i thought it would be interesting to follow.

LuKE anToNY's SRT 251 PaGE. Monday, May 21, 2007. This is a commercial site which i visited in melbournes west. its a set of offices which is being constructed by means of pre cast concrete panel construction. this can be seen from the images as there is no floor slab anywhere which would have made tilt up concrete panel construction possible. Interesting how it is possible to create such large forms with singular concrete panels, the singular spans just allow so many possibilities.

LuKE anToNY's SRT 251 PaGE. Saturday, May 19, 2007. Here is some information which i have found about the Buj Dubai:. The Burj Dubai currently holds the record for the most floors in a skyscraper with 126 as of May 12, 2007. It has held this title since February 8, 2007 with the completion of the 111th floor, surpassing the former World Trade Center. Its final height is officially being kept a secret due to competition. But this has not yet been confirmed by Emaar. This new figure is 24 metres higher...

LuKE anToNY's SRT 251 PaGE. Saturday, May 19, 2007. Dubai's relentless construction boom. By Hannah Hennessy In Dubai. In Dubai, noisy construction work is never far away. It is the city of superlatives; a man-made Disney-style creation in the desert, where there's seemingly no such thing as no can do. Why shouldn't Dubai be home to the Middle East's first indoor ski resort, the world's tallest building, a seven-star hotel in the shape of a giant sail and its first underwater hotel? There's masses of liq...
