Then it was west through McKenna and Yelm to head south through Bucoda and various roads on our way to Centralia. We rode past the huge steam plant then he found Ham Road above and East of town. There is a new vitality to the new club leadership, so maybe I will attend more meetings this fall, though it does depend on the weather somewhat and of course Lynn’s schedule of conflicting obligations. It was a great photo op with cloudy skies and a bit of fog - the lack of sun meant no shadows or high contrast situation to deal with. Unfortunately I didn't have time to stop and take proper photos. I have rode the FJR twice after returning home from the Southwest FJR Owner’s group ride in Colorado at the end of June. I was tired of motorcycling, burnt out even. Over the last 7 years I have rode 120,000 miles on two bikes. I got the FJR new in Feb, 2010 and it now has 47,000 miles on it. Wind River Hwy and the famous road to Windy Ridge east of Mt. St. Helens. All offering some spectacular scenery and twisties.

Rather than go another 25 k miles I decided to check them every 10k until an adjustment was required. This moment came at 37,000 miles. The day before I rode around the Olympic Peninsula. While most FJR peeps in the Pac Northwet were attending the FJR Forum Tech event in Auburn Washington, a most excellent event, I decided it was riding day not wrenching day. After all the weather was excellent and summer crowds are not out on the highways yet. At 10 hour trip without stops.

Just another WordPress.com site. June 6th Ride to Chinook Pass. June 7, 2015. After the fill-up and Cayuse Pass, my first top was at Tipsoo Lake rest area about 45 miles from Enumclaw. The blues and greens were great, just not a lot of snow! Not to mention service issues, one guy was riding a BMW SS100RR also very nice and probably the best of the new BMW line. They started out with a clean sheet of paper on the 1000 line, no rear drive issues as on K and R series! Brian and the Thumper. June 7, 2015.
