Since 2010, the HSCI iPS Core has been located in a renovated space in the Bauer Building on Harvard campus, directly across the hall from HSCI’s Therapeutic Screening Center, allowing easy cross-facilitation. The iPS Core has one main molecular biology/biochemistry room and three tissue culture rooms: one for primary cell culture, one for iPS derivation and one for expansion and banking. We have three non-integrating technologies (Sendai virus, miRNA and modified mRNA, and episomal vector) for reprogramming of a variety of somatic cell types.
