Hit The Rock: December 2006
http://hittherock.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
For more posts, see my main weblog, Veritas. Thursday, December 21, 2006. Climbing @ KC Tuesday night. Tuesday I went climbing at Klättercentret. Lisa and Matt were there, as were Christine and Maria (in the background). Anna came too, and tackled a fun route of terra cotta colored holds. The heel hook is the key to making this one easy. Matt did this fun route of blue-green holds. It seems to be necessary to use the edge of the wall in order to make it up to the last hold. Ammie in top form.

This morning was the first really cool morning in several weeks. It seems that winter is finally on the way. By the time I walked to work, the sun was up and the temperature had risen to 2 C; but in the shade the leaves were still covered with frost. Michael A. Lowry. Tuesday, November 08, 2005. Michael A. Blood, sweat and gears. For more posts, see my main weblog, Veritas. Sunday, December 03, 2006. Here are a few more views of my new bike. A nice view of the bike from behind. The rear suspension and brake. The rear shock has a little red knob on the front end that controls the speed of the rebound after the shock is compressed. The back end of the rear shock and the linkage to the seat stays and pierced seat tube. On the ride side, there are two adjustments that one can make. The speed of the rebound...

Last night, I went to Karbin with Lisa, Matt, and my colleague Jens. It was time again for another Boulder Open. Here is a photo of me doing an easy blue or red problem to warm up. Hung was there; he completed lots of difficult problems. Anna was climbing like a pro last night, and advanced to the finals. This one was very, very tricky for me&#...

For more posts, see my main weblog, Veritas. Saturday, January 27, 2007. Boulder Open #51 at Karbin. Originally uploaded by Michael A. Lowry. Tonight I went to Karbin for some bouldering. It was the fifty-first boulder open competition they've put on. It was my best boulder open to date, and I placed fourteenth. This time, I managed to complete 26 out of 40, including several really tricky black-rated ones. I was close to doing two more as well, nos. 3 and 8. My previous best. Had been 22 of 40 problems.
