Just another WordPress.com site. Still looking for Albert William Dearsley. Albert is my grandfather, my mother’s father. However he is invisible. It is hard to imagine today, when we have such as vast array of media options, that a photo of the man cannot be found. It is hard to imagine that his children do not have a photo. I have wondered what it says about the man. Albert was born to Thomas and Emily (nee Burrows) Dearsley on 20 May, 1902. AlbertWDearsley-BirthCertificate. On 13 August, 1914, Engalnd...

The Story Tellers | dearsleydateline
https://dearsleydateline.wordpress.com/2014/07/01/the-story-tellers
Just another WordPress.com site. I have been reading a great email discussion among other geneology addicts recently about whether to share one’s family research online or not. There are risks and benefits. Michael Slattery has shared this article below that was passed onto him some years ago. It reminded me of one of my family who just couldn’t understand why I was interested in “dead people”. The Story Tellers…. We are the story tellers of the tribe. All tribes have one. I have lost count. The bones he...

Dearsley and I | dearsleydateline
https://dearsleydateline.wordpress.com/about
Just another WordPress.com site. My interest in the Dearsley’s began in earnest when Mum was about to turn 80 years old in 2009. It was very apparent to her family that we did not know very much about her life before she came to Australia in 1949. She was very proud of her English heritage and so were her children. It was a unique feature about her. But what did we know? Mum always said that Dearsley was a rare name, and that there were not many Dearsley people around! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Corneli...

Hello world! | dearsleydateline
https://dearsleydateline.wordpress.com/2011/08/21/hello-world
Just another WordPress.com site. I thought I would write a book about the Dearsleys. However that task seems daunting. Then I thought a blog might be the thing – information and comments a bit at a time. I want comments from across the world from Dearsleys and their decendants. Go to Dearsley and I, at the right of this page, to find out a little about me. I look forward to hearing your contribution soon. Still looking for Albert William Dearsley →. Finding Albert William Dearsley | dearsleydateline
https://dearsleydateline.wordpress.com/2014/04/24/finding-albert-william-dearsley
Just another WordPress.com site. Finding Albert William Dearsley. Finding a photo of my grandfather, Albert William Dearsley, has been a major goal since I started my Dearsley search nearly 4 years ago. Although Mum was able to give me a couple of small photos of other people from her past, there was nothing about Albert William, except that he died during the WW2 but not of the war and that he was a chauffeur. So I am being careful. The man certainly didn’t look like anyone I recognised. Anywa...Within ...
