SOUTHERN CHEER: July 2013
http://gervaisdahlberg.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
A tale of two Northerners acclimating to the Southern culture. Tuesday, July 30, 2013. Where has the summer gone? We have had the most mildest summer in a long time, says the locals. We have only been in the 90's 3 days the whole month of July. Crazy; but it feels great! Oh and I joined a gym a month ago and have been loving it! Yes, those words just came out of my mouth! Why didn't I do this 10 years ago? Rest assured I will look different next time you see me! If you haven't watched it or don't want to...

A tale of two Northerners acclimating to the Southern culture. Sunday, June 24, 2012. We have had a very busy yet amazing month! As most know we celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary last Monday. It was an absolute incredible weekend and day! I have a fantastic husband who plans wonderful trips and leaves me to wonder where we are going all the way up to our destination! Pac-man and golden tee! It was fun to challenge Bryan to air hockey, or I should say get my butt kicked! It was tough but such a good ...

SOUTHERN CHEER: August 2012
http://gervaisdahlberg.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
A tale of two Northerners acclimating to the Southern culture. Wednesday, August 22, 2012. I have been introduced to something quite wonderful. Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. This woman (Annie Sloan) created this amazing paint that adheres to basically anything without sanding or priming first! Yes, I'm for real! If you are in the market to re-do some old furniture, heck, even new furniture, or if you happened to stumble across a sweet piece of furniture at a garage sale this weekend, you are in luck! Because ...

http://gervaisdahlberg.blogspot.com/2013/11/smells-so-good.html
A tale of two Northerners acclimating to the Southern culture. Tuesday, November 5, 2013. Yeah, yeah it's been way too long but I feel like I've been crazy busy! Anywho, this is what I've currently been working on, candles! I landed two more places that I'm selling my candles and now cards! Two stores here in Birmingham and one store in Tuscaloosa! I'm pretty stoked about it but it's been a bit time consuming! Like I told Bryan, I'm officially working two jobs! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

SOUTHERN CHEER: March 2013
http://gervaisdahlberg.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
A tale of two Northerners acclimating to the Southern culture. Sunday, March 31, 2013. The Easter Bunny missed our house. :( But I can say that my ham turned out delicious! It was so juicy and full of flavor! All I did was place brown sugar on the bottom of the crockpot, put the ham in and poured some pineapple juice over the top. Then I added the pineapple rings with about 20 minutes left. Tracey making Grandma's famous Scalloped Potatoes. She has mastered it! A great photo of Grandpa! Links to this post.

A tale of two Northerners acclimating to the Southern culture. Wednesday, February 20, 2013. A recap of our time in New Orleans. Driving over Lake Pontchartrain, you can see the skyline in the horizon. This is a new bridge/road as the last one was destroyed by during Katrina. The Superdome, right outside our hotel room. Still had some things set up from the Super Bowl. Bryan and I in Jackson Square. A historical hotel in the French Quarter we want to stay at next time! Hanging out in the Garden District.

A tale of two Northerners acclimating to the Southern culture. Sunday, July 29, 2012. Last week I had a vision or idea pop in my head of how I wanted to do the guest room. I've actually been working on the furniture for a couple weeks but the wall color came to me, thanks to the towel that was on the bed from when Bryan's mom was here. I liked the color in there! This color is butter, for real! A soft, light yellow. Geeze it's sure hard to tell! More butter and so awful window treatments! Links to this p...

SOUTHERN CHEER: June 2013
http://gervaisdahlberg.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
A tale of two Northerners acclimating to the Southern culture. Tuesday, June 11, 2013. Last week was really fun! Not only did I have a wonderful birthday some of my family were in town! My aunt drove my grandma, grandpa and cousin down to see us! They left last Sunday and got here on Tuesday. It sounded like they had some good adventures along the way from going up in the arch in St. Louis, hitting up some casinos and touring Graceland! We had dinner reservations at a hibachi grill and we had a blast!
