Family life, chaos and food. I went on another course at the very lovely Cherry Blossom Bakery. Along with two of my daughters I spent two hours mastering swirls, roses and other piping techniques. I have made cupcakes many times before but I really wanted to learn how to pipe a rose swirl so that was my main aim. All I needed to know was that I needed a Wilton 2D nozzle and to pipe from the centre. Easy when you know how! We baked a batch of cakes and iced the lot. What do you think of the results?

Family life, chaos and food. I find it really easy to make a quick,healthy lunch with my Vitamix. Today, being Monday, the fridge was looking a bit sad but I wanted something warm and healthy for lunch so I decided to make some soup. I often use my Vitamix blender for soup and I’d already made a lovely green smoothie for my breakfast so I was in Vitamix mode! Next time I may add some celery and possibly a small wedge of cabbage. I love to experiment and I haven’t had a disaster yet! Soda bread and soup.
Tiger Bread Recipe | Stressed Mum

Family life, chaos and food. Use a basic recipe for a white loaf, using sesame oil in place of the olive oil or butter in the recipe. This is the one I use:. 7g sachet quick yeast. 3 Tab sp sesame oil. Approx 300ml warm water. Mix well together, I use a Kenwood chef with a dough hook. You can mix by hand or use a dough setting on a breadmaker. Knead well if mixed by hand. Allow to rise, covered in oiled cling film for about an hour until doubled in size. Knock back and shape the loaves and or rolls.
