Wendy's Favorite Place: Butterscotch Schnapps Bundt Cake
http://wendysfavoriteplace.blogspot.com/2011/03/butterscotch-schnapps-bundt-cake.html
Adventures in Cooking, Gardening and Travel. Tuesday, March 1, 2011. Butterscotch Schnapps Bundt Cake. A few weeks ago I promised to post the recipe for my Butterscotch Schnapps Bundt Cake. This was actually part of the Valentine's day celebration. It was a "spin off" of sorts from my Amaretto bundt cake that I've probably made 100 times. Since I have so much butterscotch liqueur left, I figured it might be interesting to put some in this basic cake. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. 1 8 1/4 oz yellow cake mix.

Wendy's Favorite Place: Ravioli Filling for Roasted Red Pepper Pasta
http://wendysfavoriteplace.blogspot.com/2012/11/ravioli-filling-for-roasted-red-pepper.html
Adventures in Cooking, Gardening and Travel. Tuesday, November 20, 2012. Ravioli Filling for Roasted Red Pepper Pasta. You would think that the remaining ravioli deep in my freezer were gold nuggets! I won't post the actual red pepper pasta recipe until it is refined. All I can say is that pureed roasted red pepper, an egg, oil, salt and copious amounts of flour were the ingredients. Then came time to prepare the filling as I spread out, utilizing every corner of counter space. 1/4 cup onion, chopped.

Wendy's Favorite Place: Another First - Mediterranean Flatbread
http://wendysfavoriteplace.blogspot.com/2011/09/another-first-mediterranean-flatbread.html
Adventures in Cooking, Gardening and Travel. Friday, September 9, 2011. Another First - Mediterranean Flatbread. This week I conquered the stack of recipe clippings that I've been accumulating for years! This was adapted from Martha Stewart's book circa 1998. Give credit where credit is due. I've made pizza before, of course! Next time I'll grill them all at once on the barbecue and maybe top them with fresh heirlooms tomatoes from the garden. Yum! 1/2 tsp yeast (Do not use whole packet). Place dough ont...

Wendy's Favorite Place: Roasted Tomato Bisque
http://wendysfavoriteplace.blogspot.com/2015/05/roasted-tomato-bisque.html
Adventures in Cooking, Gardening and Travel. Friday, May 15, 2015. The seasons of Northern Nevada have such unique personalities. I would describe Spring as being flirtatious, fickle and a big tease! Just when you're about to embrace the warmer weather with those flip flops and shorter sleeves a cold front moves in to chill you again. Soups are still a perfect meal during the Spring. Light, yet hardy, and simple to make! 1/2 yellow onion, chopped. About 2 Tbsp butter. 2 cloves garlic, chopped. Blend the ...

Wendy's Favorite Place: August 2015
http://wendysfavoriteplace.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Adventures in Cooking, Gardening and Travel. Tuesday, August 18, 2015. A funny thing happened on the way to making one of my latest soup creations, Thai Coconut Shrimp, a future post. I had extra shrimp, six to be exact! Hardly a meal, so I decided to make a quick scampi accompanied by a small salad for lunch. Hubby was a bit surprised when he came in for lunch! Seriously, who makes scampi for lunch? Someone who is currently on the Atkins lifestyle! And, it only took 5 minutes to make! Second time it was...

Wendy's Favorite Place: Turkey Corn Chowder
http://wendysfavoriteplace.blogspot.com/2015/06/turkey-corn-chowder.html
Adventures in Cooking, Gardening and Travel. Monday, June 22, 2015. For the last several months I've been the designated "soup kitchen" person at my son's deli. All his soups are made from scratch and most are delicious, or so I've been told. As the weather has warmed I've been wanting to make the transition from hot soups to cold pasta salads. It hasn't caught on yet since there are quite a few die hard soup lovers in the neighborhood! 1/2 cup chopped onion. 1 celery stalk, chopped. 1/3 jalapeno, diced.
