Web 20 start-ups are characterised by their scalability starting small and lean with minimal investment up front. In 2011, Threadless estimated. Its total number of users to be 1.5 million and the number of contributing designers to be 150,000. Threadless has over 1.8 million followers on Twitter. And nearly half a million likes on Facebook.
