SIX SEMESTERS is an Irish film which, despite being basically a feature-length student film made with next to zero budget, made it into the Wild Cards strand of last year's Galway Film Fleadh. I didn't see it there myself, but it has since gone on to get some more festival exposure in Europe and the USA, with more screenings possibly on the way. I'm sure you can find the rest from there).

ONE NIGHT IN EMERGENCY, mentioned here a few times before, will air at 9pm on Monday the 4th of January, on BBC1 (Scotland only). This one-off drama is written by Gregory Burke (he of "Black Watch" acclaim) and boasts an impressive roster of Scottish acting talent including Kevin McKidd, Gary Lewis, Ewen Bremner, James Cosmo, David Hayman and Jamie Sives. Impressive or what? Sweet on Sigma Films.

The programme is now online and features a couple of Irish films (HIS and HERS and SAVAGE) and a whole load of Scottish stuff that I'm not going to list again here. See the website.
