Take A Walk In Our Shoes: I don'ts...
http://agboden.blogspot.com/2010/11/i-donts.html
Take A Walk In Our Shoes. Our Journey To Eternity. Tuesday, November 30, 2010. Lately, it's been a lot of 'I don'ts.". I don't have this, I don't have that.". I am going to try and focus on the "I do's". I have such a full and rich life. I wish that I could just always remember it's the 'little things' that make me truly happy. Sometimes when I write it out, it makes me remember the things that I do have and all the many blessings that I enjoy each day. My wonderful husband who would do anything for us.

Real living, Real Food, Real Frugal. Archive for June, 2011. Posted by barborkajen in Uncategorized. I struggle with ideas for dinner. I don’t like cooking the same thing every night, and the kids really don’t like it when I do that either. So what do I do? Do I troll around the internet? All that ever yields me is lots of pretty pictures and things I never do. Where do I find inspiration? I guess that’s what kids are for. So for the summer we will be “traveling the world” through food! Eat Drink. Ex...

Real living, Real Food, Real Frugal. Archive for July, 2011. Posted by barborkajen in Recipes. My kids love these and just can’t get enough. Being that in Texas we are full on in cucumber season, it’s nice. I can go to the market, pick up a couple cucumbers, make some brine, and in a day we’ve got pickles. I know all the ingredients in them, so no worries. 1c cider vinegar (white is fine). I usually use 2-3 large cucumbers. I’ve seen all sorts of things thrown in, including green tomatoes!

Real living, Real Food, Real Frugal. Archive for May, 2011. Posted by barborkajen in Recipes. I make many different types of salsa. Seriously. Salsa is pretty much my favorite thing to eat for a snack. You’re eating tomatoes, and whatever else you’ve put in it, so that can’t be too bad for you, right? 😉 So here it goes. No real chopping involved, and it’s fairly quick. Blender/Food Processor (either will work, if your blender is weak, use a food processor instead). A container for your salsa. Pop these ...

Real living, Real Food, Real Frugal. Laquo; Refrigerator Pickles. Yes you can make laundry soap! Posted August 4, 2011 by barborkajen in Gardening. I started gardening last year. I started simple with really just some tomatoes, basil, cucumbers, and some different type of chilis. This year, though, I’ve got more to think about. I live in Texas. Texas isn’t like most states that has the summer to grow in. You can grow year round! And how expensive are seeds going to be? What type of seeds should I choose?
