Sylvabelle's Random Ramblings. Vatican City (Rome day 3). Day 3 in Rome and we ventured to the famous Vatican City, a city within another city. It’s quite bazaar, really. If I got my facts right, I think it is an independent country (therefore it’s not part of Italy? Every building we went to (or even every section of the Vatican Museum we went to) have really awesome ceilings! Some shots taken from the bus. Love the arch bridge. I kept telling myself, oh my gosh, I’m really here! The Piazza is amazing!

After having japanese food for 9 meals in 11 days, I wanted to have something different. So we ended up in Bubba Gump, Sunway Pyramid. Here's our onion rings. Love the crunch on them. A mixed platter of fried prawns, dive round fritters and chicken with chips and coleslaw as sides. While I enjoyed the prawns, I didn't enjoy the round fritters.

After the speech contest, we were give a small tour in the 50th anniversary building before being escorted to a hall in one of the buildings in the campus for a dinner with esteemed guests. JM and I went to a nearby shopping centre to grab brunch before heading our ways. JM's sandwich from Soul Origin. The portion was huge! This here is a picture of the half portion but luckily it tasted yummy! This makes for a really convenient meal as you can just grab it on the go like a sandwich. Herb and garlic focaccia (AUD10).

Early in the morning, we stopped by Pie face for some pies. Look at all those faces. A chicken pie with green peas, potato mash adn mushroom gravy. The taste was ok Not really a huge fan of meat pies! But because pie face was just everywhere, we had to give it a try! It was super windy and cold that morning.
