Our pumpkin project started out when one of the teachers' father came to school with a little pumpkin for each of our kids from his own pumpkin patch. The kids were SOOO excited! Adventures of the First Year. Wednesday, May 28, 2008. I want to thank everyone for their contributions to our classroom. The kids made thank you cards, but in all the cleaning I did to pack up my classroom, I accidentally threw them away! I'm so sorry- they were really sweet little notes! Adventures of the First Year. Monday, January 28, 2008. I just finished setting up my online account for Scholastic Book Clubs. I send out book orders every month in my classroom. I usually send out 4 or 5 catalogs! I just think that they are such a great way to build a child's library at such a low cost. they have such great deals! I was laughing too much to wait until Christmas to post it! We have a special edition newspaper in Canton that comes out at Christmas time with elementary kids' work in it. Adventures of the First Year. Thursday, February 28, 2008. We've had a busy few weeks in Kinder-Prep. Having late starts and early dismissals due to bad weather really messes things up! Some of my kids don't do very well with the change in schedule, and it mixes up our plans. I surely don't mind getting to sleep a few more hours, but it's hardly worth it when I spend all morning trying to explain why we aren't having a milk/snack break and one less recess! Adventures of the First Year. Sunday, January 6, 2008. Can't Shut It Off! Tomorrow is our first day back from Christmas break. I'm really looking forward to seeing the kids- I've missed them- but I'm not quite sure where the break went!
