Join me as I bike Sea to Sea. Main Sea to Sea Website. Thursday, April 10, 2008. Updates on my preparation. Lots of exciting things are happening or changing. First, my spinning class. Ended last week. I know that I have greatly enhanced both my endurance and my strength. At the beginning I was easily out of breath and had a very high heart rate. Now I have to work a lot harder to get out of breath. But I have to transition the technique and stamina to riding on the road. Here are some pictures. Also, I ...

Join me as I bike Sea to Sea. Main Sea to Sea Website. Sunday, November 25, 2007. Since it's thanksgiving (I'm a couple of days late) I want to list what I'm thankful and tell you some of my thoughts about this time of year. I'm thankful for warm shelter as the weather cools, and thankful for the bountiful food. It's wonderful to have family to rely on and to help guide me in my decisions. I'm thankful for my Wii. And, of course, I am thankful (and very excited) to be able to part of Sea to Sea. Quickly,...

I have been anxiously checking to make sure that they received my application. Needless to say is that I'm excited! Also, I keep checking the list to see who else is going and if I know them. The only person that I really know so far is my band director from high school, Mr. Doornbos. Sunday, August 5, 2007. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Join me as I bike Sea to Sea. Main Sea to Sea Website. Saturday, May 31, 2008. I am very excited about this summer (and nervous, but let's not talk about that)! I think about biking all day at work, and then when I get home I go biking all evening it seems. Training is going good. I'm trying to bike 200 miles a week, but I am mostly constrained by time. It's hard to work 8 hours than bike for three hours and still have time to do other things. This picture shows what it feels like at times! I stopped at ...

Join me as I bike Sea to Sea. Main Sea to Sea Website. Sunday, March 16, 2008. And it all begins! Yesterday marked my inaugural ride for 2008! It's very exciting to think about all the amazing landscapes I'll see; the hills I'll climb; and the beautiful blue sky's I'll ride under. With all of the ice and most of the snow melted I was able to go biking yesterday from my apartment up to just North of Fifth Third Ball Park. It was wonderful to be able to go outside and to see the coming signs of Spring.

Join me as I bike Sea to Sea. Main Sea to Sea Website. Sunday, April 5, 2009. This past month the first ten projects received funds from the quarter of the funds set aside for local organizations. This is exciting and inspiring, especially considering how each grant is basically provided by one cyclist's network of family and friends. Here is the news release. Pre-approved by the Sea to Sea steering committee. This is the first group of projects that has received grant money from that fund. With the curr...
