其後左右過水廊屋頂為 捲棚式 連接三川殿與第二進之正殿，正殿屋頂為 歇山重簷式。 彬司 (司為早期台灣對懷有特殊匠藝者的尊稱)的風格代表 升庵假四垂 此建築作法又有稱太子樓一說 所謂 升庵假四垂 即將歇山重簷簡化，應用在三川殿上，讓中港間的屋頂升高一層，與小港間屋脊斷開，稱為 升庵 ，結構上比原來的三川脊更複雜高聳，而側面的空隙則以 串角 掩飾，原來的四垂頂(歇山)少了側面，故稱 假的四垂頂 ，台灣匠師後來將他稱為 斷簷升箭口 ，此一風格影響台灣後期廟宇建築建造形式甚鉅，可說是台灣傳統寺廟建築本土化的原型，也讓 彬師 名號響亮成為台灣大木作之牛耳。

計劃主持人周 明自民國87年國科會數位典藏相關計畫啟動至今，十餘年來未曾間斷投入數位典藏工作行列，且於大學講授 台灣民俗藝術 課程持續十二年以上，又以傳統建築廟宇建築藝術為課程主要題材，基於台灣民俗文化、藝術之創作與研究專長，深知台灣傳統建築寺廟藝術之精華及其所代表的台灣民俗文化意義。 台中市樂成宮為國定三級古蹟，結合各大匠師們的心血於一的藝術殿堂 其建築外觀為 彬司 風格代表 升庵假四垂 此建築作法又有稱太子樓一說 這樣的屋頂極富變化，屋脊多，石雕、木雕、交趾燒，剪黏和彩繪的裝飾也多 而其雕刻技法有圓雕、透雕、深浮雕、淺浮雕、陰雕、水磨沉花等，各有其特色和難度 自然比一般廟宇華美 三川殿，步口龍虎邊二邊之員光為 彬司 的徒弟，曾榮獲 民族藝術薪傳獎 及 國家級重要民族藝術藝師獎 的小木作藝師黃龜理，特別表現其 內枝外葉 的工法所親作，如 太師少師 、 錦上添花 的獅座和三川殿步口員光的隋唐演義戲齣故事等便是其經典之作，處處充滿著歷史典故和藝術文化內涵，表現傳統建築裝飾藝術中 其圖必有意，其意必吉祥 的寓意。
