Hurricane Kitchen: November 2011
http://hurricanekitchen.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 23, 2011. I found this recipe on Food Lush. And Caitlin found it in Real Simple magazine. It's really delicious. As with all recipes I changed it up just a bit. I took this dish to work, and the ladies really enjoyed it. It's really creamy, and the pumpkin is not overpowering at all. 1 tablespoons unsalted butter, plus more for the dish. 1 bag of frozen spinach*. 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt. 1 teaspoon black pepper. 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg. 1 cups of heavy cream. I originally used ...

Yeah, pretty much anything that pops in my head. Laquo; On being an adult. Gardening at the house. November 3, 2013 by Andrea. There is so much I haven’t shared here in the past few months. I’ll get to it soon enough. But for now, the short version. We bought a house and moved, I got a new job, T got a promotion, his dad passed away, I took on some additional volunteer responsibilities and I traveled to a few new places. Posted in The House. Yeah, pretty much anything that pops in my head. Laquo; This and that. Gardening at the house. November 10, 2013 by Andrea. I was so excited when we bought the house that the previous owners had a couple garden boxes started. We got a few cucumbers and tomatoes from them before the tomato worms got the best of the plants. Now I have cleaned them out and am trying some fall crops with broccoli and cauliflower. I hope they work out. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. What I write about.

Yeah, pretty much anything that pops in my head. Laquo; Washington DC/Arlington March 2013. On being an adult. May 24, 2013 by Andrea. I started this post in February of 2012, and re-started it in June 2012, but could never finish and publish. I’m actually 32 now. And we paid off the 2nd car, and had to get a new one shortly thereafter. Most of it is still applicable today, but now we’re actually buying a house. So I’m going to publish what I’ve got and start again. At the end of the day instead of pilin...

Yeah, pretty much anything that pops in my head. It seems like a lot of people have been waiting for the day Tay and I would get engaged, so for your reading and viewing pleasure, here’s how it happened! We ate fruit, cheese and appetizers. We tasted some wines that were buttery, and some that were spicy. We all laughed, and talked and had such a fun time. And at the end of the night they gave away door prize bottles of wine. Cherrye won a bottle and so did I. On July 3, 2008 at 7:17 am. I can’t wa...

Yeah, pretty much anything that pops in my head. Laquo; San Diego – What to See and Where to Eat. On being an adult. Washington DC/Arlington March 2013. May 23, 2013 by Andrea. In late March, I had a work conference in DC, so I flew up a day early to hang with my good friend Linsi. This was the first time I had traveled without my big camera in a long time. So all the pics from this trip are from my phone. Most of them aren’t too shabby. We started by getting a reflexology foot massage and having tea.

Monday, October 24, 2011. The Blathering 2011 - Just as Amazing As You'd Imagine. The summer after my 3rd year at Guelph, I did a European Study Abroad that was run jointly with Michigan State University. I was the only Canadian. And back in the pre-Facebook days, there was no way to really connect with anyone pre-trip. So off I flew to Schipol, knowing no one. It was way better than I'd imagined. And this weekend affirmed my suspicion - it's totally true. It's not often that you can plop into a room...

Jesabes: September 2012
http://jesabes.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 27, 2012. Maybe I just like whipped cream. One of my favorite things about fall is the food: pumpkins, apples, turkey… Yum. While I like almost all things apple-y, I generally don’t like things pumpkin flavored. I love pumpkin in all forms – pie, bread, butter (you should totally make pumpkin butter) – but find pumpkin-flavored things rarely actually taste like pumpkin. As for the title of the post, I don’t think so. I prefer my pumpkin pie without. Wednesday, September 26, 2012.
