Joyce & Wiley's Great Adventure: September 2007
http://joyceandwiley.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
Joyce and Wileys Great Adventure. We head out around October 1. Hang in there- I'll blog again. I'm way behind in my blogging! I'm just back from five days in Ypsilanti with Tom's family, but today I'm going to blog about our days off the week before I left for Ypsi. I'll download pics and blog about my exceptional granddaughters and the fun we had another time. Most of the homes appear to be from the Victorian era. We finished our day with a visit to Pere Marquette Beach for a walk on the shore at sunse...

Joyce and Wileys Great Adventure. I've been doing a little research about the lobstering industry. My interest was piqued by our recent visit to Shaw's Wharf, where we watched the lobster boats come in. It's definitely the major industry around here, and there's an aura of secrecy about it that intrigues me. Here's an interesting site that covers some of the basics: http:/ www.gma.org/lobsters/allaboutlobsters/lobsterhistory.html. We had a great day off. We packed a lunch and headed out early (about.

Joyce and Wileys Great Adventure. Is anybody out there? I haven't seen any comments for a while. Maybe you've all given up on me. We're doing fine. I got my cast off (yay! And am going to physical therapy. There's not much pain, but it's very weak and it hurts to put any pressure on it. Hopefully I'll recover full use quickly. I'm very impatient (now that's a news flash! And there's so much I want to do here that I haven't been able to do yet. Wiley is going to stay with his folks. Wiley and I are helpin...

Joyce & Wiley's Great Adventure: February 2007
http://joyceandwiley.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html
Joyce and Wileys Great Adventure. I'm way behind in my blogging, so I'll just jump right in. We're having a great time, as usual, both at work and on our days off. Katelyn's Girl Scout troop sold cookies over the weekend. I'm already done with my first box. Those things should be outlawed- they're way too good! I've been doing a lot of work in the office lately, organizing supply cabinets and setting up databases, so it was a pleasure to go out eagle watching today. We have two nests that are active ...

http://harrisonandaverysworld.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 28, 2010. Ugh I am having the hardest time with the new photo uploader. I can't seem to get text where I want it, and it shows up as a link (which it isn't).ugh. can I go back to the other editor? Ok enough whining. But here are a couple new ones. The aren't related but they are all random fun things we have done in the last week. Avery and her peanut butter. She was so proud that she cut her own bread and made her own sandwich. and I thought she was awfully cute doing it. Subscribe to: ...

Joyce & Wiley's Great Adventure: October 2007
http://joyceandwiley.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Joyce and Wileys Great Adventure. This will be a quick blog (not too many bells and whistles) because I'm making use of an internet connection at a local coffee shop (and I should leave when I've finished my latte). Also, I haven't downloaded my pictures yet. There are also a lot of rabbits and birds. We put out the hummingbird feeder and had black-chinned hummers within an hour! That's it for this time- hopefully I'll be able to do another post soon. He couldn't even finish one! As we got closer to Cali...

Joyce & Wiley's Great Adventure: December 2006
http://joyceandwiley.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Joyce and Wileys Great Adventure. Our great adventure (Part II) has really begun to take on momentum. This past week has been fantastic. Last Thursday, I went out with the biologist and an intern to learn how to monitor scrub jays. We went to Wiley's family on Friday to stay through Christmas. I met my friends Lucie and Elaine for lunch and had a good time catching up. This kildeer was right beside the road. They've been known to pretend to be injured to draw predators away from their nest, but this ...

Joyce & Wiley's Great Adventure: January 2007
http://joyceandwiley.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html
Joyce and Wileys Great Adventure. We had a really nice weekend in Winter Park with Wiley's family. I had routine doctor's appointments on Friday and Monday, and we had an appointment with the realtor on Saturday. We've listed the house for sale! Mag's computer bit the dust on Saturday, so we've ordered a new one for her. It's amazing how dependent we've all become on computers, isn't it? Who would ever have thought that even we senior citizens would find them necessary parts of our everyday life? I just ...

Joyce and Wileys Great Adventure. Monkey has been a joy to us for 19 years since we found her in our front yard where she was almost killed by a pack of dogs. She was quirky, smart, affectionate and funny. We'll miss her. Coming into the home stretch here- just 12 days to go! We're still enjoying work, the weather and the great scenery. I've got to get back to work now- we're trying to finish up so that we can go buy some trim pieces we need and then go to Pizza Hut for dinner. I felt sorry for the peopl...

Joyce & Wiley's Great Adventure: July 2007

Joyce and Wileys Great Adventure. We've made settlement on our house- yay! We figure that maybe they were renting and wanted to stay in the neighborhood. I think the title agent thought I was crazy! We managed to release the poor bird (the hook was in his beak), but he then got tangled in the fishing line when he tried to fly away. We released him a second time and he flew off, apparently none the worse for wear. No pics today- just a quick blog to update everyone about what's up in our neck of the woods.
