Barefoot Adventures: February 2011
http://aroundtheworldbarefoot.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 25, 2011. Kenji and I climbing Drakensberg in South Africa (May 2010). I think at one point I told myself that I wouldn't blog about my relationships any more, since the last one I blogged about sort of ended in disaster. Understatement). But here I am, after Marie-Eve Vallieres. Requested via Twitter that I impart my knowledge of long-distance dating upon the world. Little did they know exactly how large the can of worms was she was opening - but it's not like me to deny a request.

Barefoot Adventures: May 2010
http://aroundtheworldbarefoot.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 30, 2010. Looking over the edge. Returning to the project for a third time brings up lots of mixed emotions. I feel more at home and comfortable here than ever, which has probably led to my laziness at updating the blog. Other than more personal development and issues, there is really not much new to tell you all about what I’m doing here. Going on the photography trip to Drakensburg. Hiking and being outside was such an exhilarating experience, I recommend climbing a mountain to anyone.

Barefoot Adventures: A New Leaf
http://aroundtheworldbarefoot.blogspot.com/2010/04/new-leaf.html
Saturday, April 24, 2010. When I was 12, my family's car broke down on our way back from vacation in Florida and all I could do was be excited that the motel in the hick town we ended up in had a pool. People say I'm adaptable. Rolling with the punches is a quality I tend to take pride in. So when my plans changed from backpacking Europe to another volunteer stint in Africa, one can imagine I adapted quite quickly. But in no way do I believe I will have an epiphany and become a new person. When he forced...

Saturday, March 26, 2011. Some women choose to follow men, and some women choose to follow their dreams. If you’re wondering which way to go, remember that your career will never wake up and tell you that it doesn’t love you anymore. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am an avid world traveler, current Editor-in-Chief of The Cord and attending the University of Edinburgh in 2011 to complete an MSc in African and International Development. I would like to be back here. In photos: Favourite days in SA.

World Cup 2010: David Villa: Mr. Unstoppable
http://southafrica2010-lauren.blogspot.com/2010/06/david-villa-mr-unstoppable.html
Friday, June 25, 2010. David Villa: Mr. Unstoppable. David Villa is a great football player. When he pulls on a red Spanish shirt, he is simply magical. And he continues to amaze crowds this year in South Africa with his spectacular ball control, passing and uncanny ability to find the net. He has already scored three in South Africa. Villa seems to have this supernatural ability to anticipate moves far faster than his opposing defenders, often running circles around them and reaching the net unmarked.
