Go lightweight to improve your photography. Books by the LWP. Nik Color Efex Pro. Nik Silver Efex Pro. I Love the Canon G16. August 8, 2015. Whitby Pier. Canon G16, ISO80, f/4.5, 1/500″. Black and white conversion in Nik Silver Efex Pro. In fact, I like this camera so much I am going to sell it. When I saw the discounted price on Amazon (reduced to 350) I couldn’t resist. I do hope it handles as well as the G16. This entry was posted in Digital Photography. And tagged black and white. July 17, 2015.

Sony RX100, ISO80, f/4.0, 1/80″, 0.3ND Graduated Filter. Despite the limitations of the size of the buttons and dials the layout of these is very well thought out which does make them very usable. This also makes the G7X a true pocket compact. The G16 may feel nicer in the hands but you need a big pocke...The c...

Birds as Poetry: To Taoists, the journey and the destination are one.: Mantak Chia. Werribee Wag Tales, Newsletter. Kilmore: Three Chain Road. Early in October we went with a group of BOCA weekday outing folk to Kilmore and to a small road called Three Chain Road. – for the very reason it is Three Chains wide, so there is plenty of bushland on either side, now 22 yards make a chain and 3 feet make a yard, and isn’t and education something wunerful? Stacy Egan Photography: June 2012

http://stacyegan.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html

Saturday, June 9, 2012. When the desert is in the doldrums, shoot macro. Though I absolutely love summer, even in the desert, I find June to be the most uninspiring month for landscape photography here in Tucson. Quickly after sunrise the sun gets bright and hot, and stays that way until sunset. It's before our summer monsoons so there is typically not a cloud in the sky. It's just not inspiring. So what can a photographer do? Backlit sago palm leaves, up close. Friday, June 8, 2012. Then I wondered what...

Tuesday, February 19, 2013. Opera House as viewed from Circular Quay ferry. My husband and I recently got back from a 3-month trip in Australia! Because we were limited on what we could bring, I brought only my Panasonic LX-5 and it served me well, at least in the land- and urban-scapes department. There were of course a few times where I wished I had my Canon 20D with a long lens to photograph animals (the animals in Australia are so exotic! Total Solar Eclipse near Cairns, QLD. Port Douglas, QLD. I'm a...

Monday, October 22, 2012. Reid Park Rose Garden. This morning I arrived early for my Sketchbook Brigade meetup. At the Reid Park Rose Garden so that I may photograph the roses in the morning light. The skies were blue, so I knew I wasn't going to benefit from the soft light of cloud cover, but I hoped that this time of year the light would not be too harsh (like it is during the peak of summer). Friday, August 24, 2012. The LX5 At Night. Milky Way setting behind Mt. Whitney and adjoining spires. On a recent backpacking trip in the high Sierras of California, it was a no-brainer for me to only take my compact Panasonic LX5 camera and Gorillapod tripod. After all, not only was I hiking a steep trail (Mountaineer's Route) with a 4750-foot elevation gain in 4 miles, I had to carry the usual backpacking stuff PLUS rock climbing gear on my back! Just enough to breathe, sort of. The LX5 At Night.

Stacy Egan Photography: Fall in Northern Arizona

http://stacyegan.blogspot.com/2012/10/fall-in-northern-arizona.html

Tuesday, October 16, 2012. Fall in Northern Arizona. Our recent visit to Flagstaff coincided with one of the most spectacular displays of fall color that can be had in Arizona. The abundant aspen groves that reside on the San Francisco Peaks were aglow with yellow fire during our October 1st hike up the Inner Basin trail from Locket Meadow. A few images from my LX5:. October 19, 2012 at 9:02 PM. Wonderful set, Stacy. That POV on the middle image is killer. Nice color contrast as well.

Learning to See Light. Photographing New Zealand and telling the world about it. Newer posts →. July 17, 2016. On Brooke Shaden’s Creativity FB group she posted the White Wall Challenge – find a white wall and use it as your backdrop. My spare room is all white walls with a built in wardrobe at one end. Turns out the long narrow shape is a bit TOO narrow to shoot across it and get all of me in, and shooting at an angle was just not working. Very different style for me, do you like it? July 3, 2016. Summary - The LightWeight Bentley

Ideal for the family man who must have a Bentley, or for the Bentley man who must have a family. A car developed in the 1950’s and 60’s, raced until 1973 and then recreated in 2011, after a 17 year rebuild. The Lightweight Bentley has taken that most simple of engineering principles – removing excessive weight – and applied it to a traditional looking 4-seater 3/4 litre Bentley. Return to top of page.
