Kris's Frugal Life

Wednesday, February 29, 2012. A childhood memory I wanted to share with my kid. This is a good recipe to let your kids help you make. These are not as sweet as your original treats but still taste amazing either way. It is kid tested and approved! 3 1/2 cups organic puffed brown rice. 3/4 cups natural peanut butter (creamy or chunky, whatever you like). 1 tablespoon vanilla extract. Pour over the puff rice. Mix until the rice is all coated. Pour into prepared pan. Links to this post. It isn't like your u...

Kris's Frugal Life: Sunflower Seed Crackers

http://thenourishinghome.blogspot.com/2011/02/sunflower-seed-crackers.html

Tuesday, February 22, 2011. So I found this recipe off of Marks Daily Apple. And I added a few things to it. These are wonderful! Very crisp like a cracker should. My son loves them! You could do a variety of seasonings with them. If you are trying to go grain free or just eat better then they are a must try! 1 cup sunflower seeds. 1 cup sesame seeds. Cup flax seed, optional. 1 tablespoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon onion powder. 1 teaspoon ground rosemary. Add sesame seeds and grind well.

Kris's Frugal Life: The Message

http://thenourishinghome.blogspot.com/p/message.html

God wants you to receive His free gift of salvation. Jesus wants to save you and fill you with the Holy Spirit more than anything. If you have never invited Jesus, the Prince of Peace, to be your Lord and Savior, I invite you to do so now. Pray the following prayer, and if you are really sincere about it, you will experience a new life in Christ. You loved the world so much, You gave Your only begotten Son to die for our sins so that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.

http://thenourishinghome.blogspot.com/2010/07/blueberry-muffins.html

Tuesday, July 27, 2010. I got this recipe from Nourishing Traditions. It is a wonderful cook book that contains so much information on how to nourish your body. I think everyone should have a copy of this cook book! These muffins use soaked flour. If you are wondering why soaked flour, then I will tell you what Nourishing Traditions. Has to say about it. These muffins do taste delicious! But I am a big fan of muffins. 3 cups spelt, kamut, or whole wheat flour. 2 cups buttermilk, kefir, or yogurt. Note: I...
