More notes on Germany's health system - highlights from today's Morning Edition. The health system is not funded by taxes; however, the government DOES regulate the non-profit (and for-profit) insurance companies to keep costs down, and also regulates what doctors can charge. Sometimes there is no why . and no because. Especially when dealing with German grammar. Friday, November 07, 2008. Let us unite in banishing fear. Roosevelt said it well. And it's something I hope we will all hear again. I walked into class today and one student was showing a video (ah, the lovely combination of you tube and wifi in a college classroom) to his fellow classmates that went on and on about all of the reasons to fear Obama. I realized in that moment how. Links to this post. Rosa Parks sat d...

Sometimes there is no why ... and no because: October 2008
http://angelaferguson.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Sometimes there is no why . and no because. Especially when dealing with German grammar. Wednesday, October 22, 2008. After a REALLY long hiatus, I'm making a feeble comeback into cyberspace . I hope you haven't all forgotten me! Thoughts for the day:. 1) Only in Germany can you get married in a barn and sleep in the hay. On your wedding night. Seriously. Thank you NY Times! I found myself (very briefly) fantasizing about being a farmer. I agree and hope we can implement at least some of these ideas.

But I am very grateful to those who responded. Thank you for the reminder that it is possible, and that it just takes sitting down and writing/editing every single day. The new (and final) deadline is June 30th. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A and W Photography. This one is in Vernazza, Italia.

Thursday, June 19, 2008. So I've been doing a lot of Jiu-Jitsu lately. By a lot I mean Monday through Thursday 8:00-10:30PM. And then Tuesday, Thursday at 5:30-6:45AM. Yeah, I'm nuts. Don't ask. Well last night they brought in a friend of our regular instructor. He totally whooped all of us just in cardio alone. He teaches at Paragon. Tonight we have a special seminar put on by "Shogun" Rua. Didn't realize what a big deal his was until I started googling him. Holy cow. Posted by Big Dave. Did ya miss me?

Saturday, December 22, 2007. It's been a busy couple of months. As we're looking at wrapping up 2007 it's amazing to think back on this year with quite a few changes. Let's look back on some of the things that happened this year:. We started the year in London on our first trip to Europe. We bought our first house. We got a dog (Roxie). Dezi and I celebrated 2 years of marriage (I still think she got the raw end of the deal). Dezi switched graduate schools. I changed jobs yet again. Posted by Big Dave.

Friday, October 12, 2007. Today was my last day at a job that I loved, but came to hate. Ironically I'm still going to be doing some work for them, but as a contractor and on my own terms. I start a new job on Monday. I have given heart and soul to the product I was working on. I learned an awful lot. As dumb as it sounds, but it was my baby. I took pride in what I was able to accomplish and what it had done. But there had been changes and it wasn't a good environment for me any more. Posted by Big Dave.
