The Princess in Europe: April 2015
http://theprincessineurope.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
The Princess in Europe. A continuation from The Princess in Africa. Sunday, April 19, 2015. 18 hours in Berlin. So we had to go to Berlin this last week. Neither of us wanted to use up valuable leave days with the trip, so we went there on Tuesday and came back on Wednesday. We drove the first 4 hours to Benedikt's parents where we got rid of one child. Then took the train from there to Berlin. another 5 hours. Nico woke at 6am of course, just when we had an opportunity for a lie in in our nice hotel.

The Princess in Europe: March 2015
http://theprincessineurope.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
The Princess in Europe. A continuation from The Princess in Africa. Thursday, March 26, 2015. A visit from the cousins. The day after we got back from SA, Benedikt's sister and her family arrived. I was glad as I did not want to go back to being alone with the kids! It was also a great way for Nico to not be too sad about our holiday ending. We had really great weather the whole weekend. Sunny, with good snow on the mountains = perfect! In the meantime, Thomas and I did some sledging with the little ones.

The Princess in Europe: February 2014
http://theprincessineurope.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
The Princess in Europe. A continuation from The Princess in Africa. Thursday, February 27, 2014. Rebecca at age 6 months. Rebecca will be 6 months old in a few days time which means we are going to start on real food. So far she's just had milk from me, so its quite a change. I plan to give her banana or avocado once a day to start off with and see how it goes. She's tasted both already and seemed to like it. She just needs to master the art of swallowing the food! I love our special bond right now.

The Princess in Europe: January 2014
http://theprincessineurope.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
The Princess in Europe. A continuation from The Princess in Africa. Sunday, January 19, 2014. South Africa - Part 2 - Kreesmaas! On Mark and Nicola's first morning they climbed the highest peak on Mum's Mountains. With Boz and Collin. The top of Twelve o'clock. They had stiff quads for few days after that, especially as they ran most of it. So besides from the mountain runs, the swimming in lakes and rivers, the rock climbing, the paddling and the odd bit of table tennis, there were also yoga sessions.

The Princess in Europe: May 2014
http://theprincessineurope.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
The Princess in Europe. A continuation from The Princess in Africa. Saturday, May 3, 2014. I am finding I have very little spare time within which to update my blog - which is frustrating as it's something I enjoy doing. By the end of a typical day of school runs, housework, cooking, web site work, exercise (if possible), and general admin I am just desperate for my bed. I know it's what many mothers do and we all cope, but boy is it repetitive and draining! But we keep trying! One of our bike tours thro...

The Princess in Europe: August 2015
http://theprincessineurope.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
The Princess in Europe. A continuation from The Princess in Africa. Saturday, August 1, 2015. Nico's 5th Bithday Bonanza. We took Nico to Europapark. For his birthday. It really was a special day and he LOVED it. We set off at 7:30am and were only back after 6pm - a long and hot day. Nico got in for free because it was his birthday - we planned it that way of course. It's expensive. The proud 5 year old on the Alpine coaster. He feels like a big kid now. Hopefully he acts like it. On our Jungle Raft.

The Princess in Europe: July 2014
http://theprincessineurope.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
The Princess in Europe. A continuation from The Princess in Africa. Tuesday, July 22, 2014. At the end of May we (sadly) left Höhenkirchen and moved to Schopfheim. There is a slight Swiss influence here, mainly the accent and lilt when people speak. But otherwise its still good old familiar Germany and the move went smoothly and quickly. So firstly, we celebrated a Meibaum Fest on the first of May with Tina and Philip and their 3 boys. Germany is having a typical summer of ups and downs. This turned ...

The Princess in Europe: July 2015

The Princess in Europe. A continuation from The Princess in Africa. Saturday, July 18, 2015. Leo @ 6 weeks. and the rest. Actually Nico can't be compared to the others well in that photo as he was fresh from the oven and still puffy and red. The other 2 are a week old. But still, a good comparison of our 3 babies. We had a few days where it was just Benedikt and I and the 3 kids, in between mother-in-law visits that is. And we survived. Benedikt still in super dad mode. But at least they were happy.

The Princess in Europe: May 2015

The Princess in Europe. A continuation from The Princess in Africa. Wednesday, May 27, 2015. We've tested our new cabin at last. We have had our new cabin since February but for various reasons (mostly the weather) we hadn't been away in it until 2 weeks ago. I was very sceptical as it seemed way smaller than our last campervan. We (Benedikt) had decided it was a good idea to sell our campervan for a few reasons and instead, buy this version. But we will get faster each time. The pools were a hit! I was ...
