Of running and motherhood. Wednesday, August 22, 2012. I realize it’s been MONTHS since I last wrote! I have no excuse (well – ok, I kinda do. Having a baby takes up a lot of time! Not something I want to relive. That was the week of May 13th… on May 18th, I turned 30 (boo), and on May 20th, I ran 13.1 miles in the Colfax Half Marathon and had my BEST TIME EVER! I knocked off a few minutes off of my half marathon time! And now… time for Kate pictures. Here she is at 8 months old! Must take after her dad.

Tue - 3K clinic run - very painful. Had to walk as it felt like something was going to snap along my shins. Went to the group run and did about a 5K tempo runs (3 min hard, 2 min recovery, 2 min hard, 2 min recovery, 1 min hard, 2 min recovery, repeat). Had some pain, but it was better than Tuesday. Sat - Crazy day! Not boring at all Heidi.

I have done this twice now, and both times felt fantastic the day of the race. I think for my upcoming half marathon I will extend this to maybe 3 days prior. It seems to agree with me. Tuesday, February 18, 2014. I have continuted to track my calories each day. I am averaging about1300-1500 each day (one day up to 1700). Sunday, March 17, 2013. My god its cold in upstate NY today. High around 31 but bitter cold 12mph winds. I putz around the house most of the day. Avoiding the green pancakes I made for the kids to go with their green Milk. Then at lunch I made them shamrock cookies.i picked one up a few times but i walked away! None the less St P day is a big deal in Upstate.there are surprisingly a high number Irishmen supporters! Its funny i never knew that a New Yorker needed a reason to drink. Big week coming up!
