Acts of the aase. Life on internship in syracuse, ny. Wurd] of the week. It's not really) about me. A few of the kids were new faces to me. One little girl absolutely hung on me saying “Can I come? I want to come! What’s it going to be like? Can you save me some food? I told her of course she could come, but from the conversation her and her sister were having, they were off to grandma’s house for the night. I assured her she could come the rest of the week, no problem. In my mind I’m thinking. You are c...

Acts of the aase. Life on internship in syracuse, ny. Wurd] of the week. It's not really) about me. A picture is worth…. This post is dedicated to all my Idaho friends. Last month I traveled to Palmyra, New York to watch a pageant put on by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I present this story of my experience to you in pictures, some moving, some not. Even the guys helping us to park our vehicles wore white shirts and ties! If only they had bike helmets. Hmmm, what is this? Over 800 cast...

HGJ in the World: June 2009
http://hgjintheworld.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2009. This one is inspired by none other than Laura Aase. Charlie IV" (or maybe even V) made it to Romania. Actually Charlie and his twin fish went to greet the Romanian children and spend time being thrown around, playing games, teaching the story of Jesus and the 5,000, and making us all laugh. They loved the fish so much, we made them a part of the school's collection. Thanks for sharing, Laura! The question is where is our peşte. Patience, Patience, Patience. If I surrender to His W...

HGJ in the World: A Full Circle
http://hgjintheworld.blogspot.com/2009/07/full-circle.html
Tuesday, July 28, 2009. We pulled up the driveway on 50th avenue just after 8:00 tonight. We "roller coastered" on our way- using the hills and bumps of the road to make it feel like were a roller coaster- and made our way through the deep forest. It really looks like a jungle. We honked the horn, called for Woofie, Dad came out of the house bawling, hugs were shared with Micah and Suz, and sighs of relief were had by all. Who knows when I will have a time like this again? With joy and thanks-. View my c...

HGJ in the World: Birthday Celebrations!
http://hgjintheworld.blogspot.com/2009/08/birthday-celebrations.html
Sunday, August 16, 2009. I celebrated my 25th birthday this weekend! It was one of the best birthdays I have had in a while (minus Hell's Kitchen last year, of course). The festivities began on Friday afternoon with my college friends. They surprised me by taking me to a water park west of the cities for an overnight extravaganza. It was the. It has been so long since we had all spent a day together and shared in a meal: homemade pizza, corn mush, green bean salad, and birthday cake! Thats a sweet lookin...

http://hgjintheworld.blogspot.com/2009/07/4-3-2-1.html
Monday, July 27, 2009. 4 states: New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. 3 rainbows spotted: is this normal? 2 funnel clouds sightings: scary! And yes, it is normal in that part of the country. Every summer we would see them each time it rained over the mountains. Rainbow Trail was named that for a reason. I forgot that we dont really see that many here. Cant wait to see pictures. HGJ in the World: The Ultimate Waterslide
http://hgjintheworld.blogspot.com/2009/08/ultimate-waterslide.html
Thursday, August 13, 2009. I don't like roller coasters, but I love the anticipation at the top of a waterslide, sitting in the water waiting for the go-ahead from the lifeguard, pushing off, and plunging, twisting and turning, up, down and all around, the slides, finally catching my breath at the bottom in the pool. Going to a water park is, by far, one of my favorite things to do. OMG, that waterslide is amazing! August 17, 2009 at 12:08 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). HGJ in the World.
