Gayhearts In Peru: February 2012
http://gayheartsinperu.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Is like a continual feast. Proverbs 15:15b (NCV). Friday, February 24, 2012. We’re living in Lima right now. Michael is working on mapping and research. We just said goodbye to M and J—our landlords in A-town—and family with whom we shared many firsts. M lived here in capital city some time back… but J, an Ashaninka, had never known anything beyond Amazonia and anything she’s seen on TV, she’d assumed stayed inside that little black box. Her first piece of pizza. Can I buy this? Can I get this? Glowing b...

Gayhearts In Peru: August 2010
http://gayheartsinperu.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Is like a continual feast. Proverbs 15:15b (NCV). Tuesday, August 31, 2010. The First of Two Homes. Instead of being separated by a street, our houses face each other separated by a sidewalk and some red dirt full of incrusted bottle caps and candy wrappers from the little market across the way, and a stray dog or cat. The house in front of ours has a tall picket fence and mannequins with pink, green and blue-colored hair. If the multi-color-haired mannequins are out, our neighbor’s little shop...At the ...

Gayhearts In Peru: October 2011
http://gayheartsinperu.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Is like a continual feast. Proverbs 15:15b (NCV). Saturday, October 1, 2011. The following account details the trip back to our home in A-town. O, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever…. For now, the truck effortlessly paces alongside strong rivers who feed emerald tree-studded mountains that seem to touch the sky . I will proclaim the name of the Lord. O, praise the greatness of our God. Am drowsy with sleep. My eyes want nothing more than to close. But to close ...And t...

Gayhearts In Peru: May 2010
http://gayheartsinperu.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Is like a continual feast. Proverbs 15:15b (NCV). Saturday, May 1, 2010. Meanwhile, we are floating in warm, turquoise pools. Wanting to stay- if only to watch the sky and the water- it is time to go. We follow an incline through the yellow and purple-leaved pathway. This is like crossing a spring stream as the rains do not relent. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Our Mission Sending Agency. Crystal Swift Gayheart's Profile. Picture Window template. Gayhearts In Peru: June 2011
http://gayheartsinperu.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Is like a continual feast. Proverbs 15:15b (NCV). Saturday, June 4, 2011. And we begin again…. April 29, 2011. And then the men pulled away the wooden slats connecting the muddy shore to the black river. There was yelling and people were waving, and it was gone. Michael drove the truck along those rough- hewn, wooden slats onto that boat without being able to see what was beneath him—where the boat ended and the river began- and he’s right here beside me right now. Would she be afraid? April 30, 2011.

http://gayheartsinperu.blogspot.com/2012/11/fall-2012-update.html
Is like a continual feast. Proverbs 15:15b (NCV). Wednesday, November 14, 2012. And so we have received the next something-to-do. Since each person is given something to do. That shows who God is: Everyone gets in on it, everyone benefits. All kinds of things are handed out by the Spirit, and to all kinds of people! The variety is wonderful… (1 Cor 12:7, MSG). While Michael works on his something-to-do. This makes the LMCO. A great cause for celebration—thank you for giving with us this Christmas!

Gayhearts In Peru: March 2011
http://gayheartsinperu.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Is like a continual feast. Proverbs 15:15b (NCV). Friday, March 25, 2011. What normally takes nearly 8 hours by truck and boat, took 12 ½. It was a long travel day. We started out before morning light. Not long after hitting the dirt road we follow for 3 1/2 hours, a tall truck which had lost hundreds of papayas in the mud the night before, blocked motorcycles and trucks from both directions. Refuse to lean on my own understanding. Can I see all sides in any situation? People who are proud will soon be d...

Gayhearts In Peru: December 2010
http://gayheartsinperu.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Is like a continual feast. Proverbs 15:15b (NCV). Thursday, December 23, 2010. Like Ema’s Smile. Rain pelts Yarina palms, whipping and beating at the thatch-roof. I feel no water. Remarkable the way these dry, layered palms cinch in pairs with long strips from tall trees. They are as a fortress. Above the mosquito net, I hear bats. Children left uncovered awaken with a stream of blood trickling from their scalp. E. As if we are under a waterfall, it whips and sloshes through the mud surrounding our hut&#...
