When I was small my Grandmother used to make so many variations in rasam I used to like them so much. This particular Spicy Rasam goes well with all non-vegetarian items. So let's see how to make the Spicy Rasam. Tamarind paste- 1 TBSP (paste not concentrate). Rasam powder- 1 TBSP. Ginger-garlic paste- 1/4 TSP. Mustard seeds- 1/2 TSP.

Talking about chutney I will have to mention how much my daughter likes chutney. I can feed her just about any veggie in the form of a chutney! So it is our favorite part of meal. A happy mom and daughter :-). Let's check out this kid tested recipe. Green chilli- 4 to 5(adjust according to spice level). Tamarind paste- 3/4 TBSP. Cumin seeds- 1/2 TSP.

Banana- one(which is partially green for Vagaru Taste). Gud(bellam)- 1 Tbsp grated. Raw Mango pieces- 2 Tbsp(chopped along with skin). Neem blooms(Vepa poota)- 1 Tsp. Chilli powder- one pinch. Last week I bought Beetroot when I went to the grocery store but I was not so sure about what I would make with them. Then I thought of making this halwa and this definitely changed how I see beets now. I actually made it for a potluck and it was a big hit to my surprise. Never thought beetroot can be so tasty! Looks can be pretty deceiving sometimes:-). Beetroot- 2 (about 3 to 4 cups grated). Pure ghee- 4 to 5 TBSP.
