Habari ya Morgan: Why Translate?
http://www.habariyamorgan.org/why-bible-translation
Jonathan and Rachel Morgan. The Word of God. The Light in Darkness. What we are doing on home assignment? Translation & Finance. His heart was captured by the vision of Bible translation–so that all will hear–and went on to found Wycliffe Bible Translators. Why translate the Bible into Rangi? Why can’t all Tanzanians experience closeness to God in the national language of Swahili? For many Rangi people it would be the equivalent of an English speaker reading the Bible like this:. Millions of Christians h...

America to Tanzania and Back Again: Puzzle blocks and bedhead
http://amsandeen.blogspot.com/2015/03/puzzle-blocks-and-bedhead.html
Friday, March 27, 2015. Puzzle blocks and bedhead. Zarya got a Melissa and Doug 16-block 6-sided puzzle for Christmas, and it's a good challenge! She hasn't mastered it yet, and it's great to have a toy that she likes playing with, but that is still hard brain work for her. She needs something to make her think a bit and keep her interested even after three months. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Puzzle blocks and bedhead. Help for canker sores. America to Tanzania and Back Again: January 2015
http://amsandeen.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 26, 2015. There are about eight inches of snow outside right now, and we've got an infant with influenza at our house. Needless to say, we're not going anywhere or doing anything this week. In an effort to prevent total cabin fever, I hope to do one interesting thing each day with Zarya. The only bad thing about this little activity is that she wanted to do it twice again this afternoon. Maybe I should start training her on the real dishes so she really can wash them all day! In other new...

America to Tanzania and Back Again: July 2014
http://amsandeen.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 27, 2014. Zarya, 20 months old. Good books I've read in the past year or so. I love reading, and after having recently finished a few good books, I thought I should share the bounty! It can be tricky to figure out which books are worth the time, I know. And so, having done some legwork to find these gems myself, maybe you're interested, too. If you think they are a lot of junk, well, maybe one of us should re-examine their taste in literature (which means you). ;-). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
