Thursday, February 02, 2006. This reminds me of friends lost. During class today, my professor. Asked the class to empty a personal bag, wallet, purse and to do an impromtu narrative and blog of the contents thereof. And as Lead Technologist for the media company, I was involved in the production of several web based projects for Cantor. I dont believe the media technology company exist anymore, but I was laid off before its demise anyway. This identification card is big reminder of it.

Vicki's Neighborhood Blog: January 2006

http://awesomevicki.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_archive.html

Blog for Neighborhood Narratives class! Wednesday, January 25, 2006. I have a lefty notebook, but I'm not left-handed. If my schoolbag was to be examined in May, I can reasonably assume that there would be at least five times the amount of old papers, books and general junkthat lies in it today. But Thursday being the third day of the semester, my posessions are mostly limited to things I actually use. Uninterestingly, I have the syllabuses (or is it syllabi? There's a fork in my bag too, but I can't rem...

Thinking Thin Too

Tuesday, July 28, 2009. Well, I had the reunion this past weekend. Let me start with the clothes. That adorable outfit with the peacock feathers came just in time and the picture is a little misleading. The colors were extremely bright and clashing. Needless to say I didn't wear it and it is being sent back. I ended up going in "80's attire". Next time, I'm just going to wear what I feel confident in. Links to this post. Wednesday, June 22, 2016. There's always been a big push at my school for basic fact fluency. And of course, as a teacher of a "testing grade", I always want my students to have that fluency in order to help them in their problem solving. You know your basic facts, solving bigger addition and subtraction problems are going to come much easier and much more quickly! Thanks for stopping by! Monday, June 13, 2016. Thinking Thomas - Thinking Thomas

Critical Thinking for Intelligent People. Thinking Thomas is about thinking critically. You may recall the biblical “doubting Thomas.” With. Thomas, we’re going beyond doubting what. Has to say. We’re actually deciding for ourselves what is credible and what is not. To do that, we use critical thinking skills; we question everything. From the story,. Are not afforded the same degree of verification that Thomas was (according to the story). In fact, we are supposed to believe. Critical thinking is a desir...

Sunday, July 8, 2012. I had written this piece quite sometime back when I was in IBS, Hostel and preparing for the final submissions. The 5th ODI of India and SA was being played. Drawing a parallel to life with this match isnt this quite similar to our experience. Why do we need them? Links to this post. Sunday, ...
