Thoughts from a Fellow Traveler

Where is your faith? 160;Sunday, November 10, 2013. Do you ever have those times when it's blatantly obvious what God is teaching and/or reminding you? That has been the story of my life for the last several weeks. God has been using several everyday (and seemingly mundane) events and activities in my life - conversations with friends and loved ones, passages I've "happened" to read during my devotions, etc. - to make it crystal clear that I have a lot. That area would be faith. But when he saw the wind ...

Thoughts from a Fellow Traveler: August 2012

http://thoughtsfromafellowtraveler.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html

160;Wednesday, August 29, 2012. Edited by Myrna Moore. Posted by Myrna Moore. At Wednesday, August 29, 2012. 160;Tuesday, August 28, 2012. I recently started a chronological Bible reading program, where you read the Bible in the historical order of events. I've never tried this kind of approach before, so I thought I'd give it a go. This week's reading plan has focused on the book of Job. It inspired me to write the following . . . poem? Everything I was holding onto has been swept away. Do you know the ...

Thoughts from a Fellow Traveler: Tragedy in Connecticut

http://thoughtsfromafellowtraveler.blogspot.com/2012/12/tragedy-in-connecticut.html

160;Friday, December 14, 2012. Courtesy of elitedaily.com. The majority of those who died today were children - beautiful little kids between the ages of 5 and 10 years old. They had their entire lives ahead of them - birthdays, graduations, weddings, kids of their own. Among the fallen were also teachers - men and women who devoted their lives to helping our children fulfill their dreams. Was such a terrible tragedy allowed to happen? Could someone commit such a heinous crime? Posted by Myrna Moore.

All Things Fitness, Reviewed by Me. Tuesday, January 15, 2013. Shoe Review: Nike Flex Trainer 2. Anyone who knows me well is aware of my love affair with shoes. I am a sucker for footwear of any kind, but I'm also choosy about what I put on my (tiny) feet. I don't like to feel constricted or contorted when I walk, run, dance, etc. I like for my feet to be able to breathe. That sounds a bit odd, I know, but your feet do. Notice I said training shoes. I'm glad you asked. Tuesday, January 15, 2013. Sinner s...

Hire Me (will write for food.). My Year in Books. The first time Davey tore a piece of paper in half, I was enthralled. My tiny human being who weighed 4 pounds yesterday managed to impact his environment enough to actually. Something. The feat seemed magical at the time. Sometimes life seriously feels like just putting out fires. Feed one baby, feed second baby, change diaper 1, change diaper 2, comfort Davey because he faceplanted (again), comfort Micah because Davey touched him. Manny took both babies...

Hire Me (will write for food.). My Year in Books. This year, I spent Christmas Eve baking homemade bread, wearing Davey in his Moby wrap, and browsing cloth diaper sites. While my dough was proofing, I started hearing something. And it wasn’t the sound of footsteps through snow–not this year. But it sounded similar. It was the music of a subculture that I’m just getting to know. Once, shortly after the twins were born, we ran out of raw milk and didn’t feel like driving all the way to Amherst to co...

A Walk in the Woods. Did that for me in July. The stupid book made me want to drop everything, buy a backpack, and go hit the 2,800-mile-long-trail posthaste. Nevermind the fact that I’m 26 weeks pregnant with twins, and walking a single mile feels like a feat of superhuman strength and stamina. Knowing that abo...

Thoughts From A Dying Man | The secret to our universe.

Thoughts From A Dying Man. The secret to our universe. Wake me Up…. July 4, 2013. Feeling my way through the darkness. Guided by a beating heart. I can’t tell where the journey will end. But I know where it starts. They tell me I’m too young to understand. They say I’m caught up in a dream. Well life will pass me by if I don’t open up my eyes. Well that’s fine by me. So wake me up when it’s all over. When I’m wiser and I’m older. All this time I was finding myself. And I didn’t know I was lost. Well now ...

Thoughts From a Feminist. Thursday, July 30, 2015. It's Not About Walter. Today, I learned a lot about myself after learning about Walter J. This post is an unfiltered thought process that I am sharing with you (regardless of your in/out group status). I have two thoughts about this. If it were legal to hunt people for sport or food, would that make it ok? I don't think so. Some posts on FB has stated that...

Thoughts From A Forest

Thoughts From A Forest. Sunday, August 1, 2010. In my previous blog, Mizocz, there were many unanswered questions that remained. Was there an uprising in the night(s) before the massacre of the ghetto's inhabitants? Where were the men - why do the sequence of photos only appear to show women and children? And a larger, more important question, for me at least, arises - what actually happened during the days and nights of October 13 and 14, 1942 in a small, formerly Polish village, now in Ukraine? Why did...
