http://herundividedheart.blogspot.com/2011/01/i-can-only-imagine.html
Musings on balancing life and keeping the focus on God Psalm 86:11. I Can Only Imagine. Driving home from work Friday, the song I Can Only Imagine. It is wonderful to imagine what we will do when we are face-to-face with God himself, but what about now. God's presence is always here. His kingdom is all around us. Do we act that way? We are constantly in the presence of God, but do we fall at his feet, sing hallelujah or stand quietly in awe? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). As a pastor's wife, mom, an...

Undivided Heart: Life-goals???
http://herundividedheart.blogspot.com/2009/11/life-goals.html
Musings on balancing life and keeping the focus on God Psalm 86:11. Do you ever get those ideas that just stick in your brain and refuse to go away? I just finished reading Wild Goose Chase. I think I will take Mark Batterson's challenge and make a list of my life-goals. It might take me a little while and a lot of thought and prayer, but I think I will be better for it in the end. Can my first goal be to make a list of my goals? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Musings on balancing life and keeping the focus on God Psalm 86:11. Speaking of getting older, we took Bethany down to college just before Labor Day weekend. I clearly remember sitting in the high school gym for her freshman orientation thinking, "I am not old enough to have a child in high school." (Technically, I wasn't because she was a grade ahead of where she should have been.) That seems like it was just yesterday, but here we were at college. This post was way past due! Musings on balancing life and keeping the focus on God Psalm 86:11. You Gotta Have Faith. After being in the ministry with Mike for almost 20 years, my first reaction should have been-"Of course, Dear! To make a long story a little shorter, I listened to God's prodding and gave Mike my blessing to quit his job. He put in his 2-week notice yesterday. Am I still struggling some with my fears? Musings on balancing life and keeping the focus on God Psalm 86:11. 160;Am I ready to enjoy grandchildren? 160;Until then, I will enjoy helping my friends out with their little ones and fully enjoy the life stages of my own daughters. Bring on the teenage and young adult issues. I can handle them since I survived toddlerhood! 160;Now remember, Mike just got a job yesterday and I was hired as a teacher last month. Was I seeing the whole picture? 160;Of course not! Okay, God, I think I am beginning to g...

Musings on balancing life and keeping the focus on God Psalm 86:11. Stress, stress, stress. 160;Fears of failure, based on some of my weaknesses from the last time I taught full-time are also beginning to creep in. As a pastor's wife, mom, and first-grade teacher, my life can get complicated. Many times, I get so busy that I find myself putting my relationship with God last. My goal is to keep my heart fully focused on God, allowing Him to help me balance everything else. View my complete profile.

Monday, February 23, 2009. Writing is Yoga for the Mind. After two cups of coffee this morning, I headed off to the gym for yoga class. Our group doesn't get caught up in the mystical aspects of the exercise. As a matter of fact, I pray through scriptures that seem to correspond with different poses. I can center my thoughts on the Lord and ignore the fact that my ankle is over my head. Writing and yoga gradually strengthen me. I condition myself by toning my muscles with good exercises. Wednesday, April 29, 2009. One Thing at a Time. Did you miss me? Here I am back at my desk with a warm cup of coffee on a very rainy day. Many of you will be shocked to discover that I spent time weeding my garden this week. You probably didn't even know I had. A garden. To be honest, it came with the house. That's just going to grow again tomorrow isn't it? You are right," I answered. "Each one needs to be plucked out individually.". But that takes a long time.". Don't misunderstand me. I know that ...

Tuesday, January 27, 2009. So my kids were bored today. Our three who attend public school were home due to the ice, and our homeschoolers were having a moment of creativity. They've made up crazy news releases to explain the incident: Dancer Attacked While Snacking. Several pieces of evidence were tagged at the scene including a half eaten bar of chocolate, one pointe shoe. and a nerf gun. Monday, January 26, 2009. Our Air Force base was blessed with opportunity to host Dan Clark, world renowned speaker.
