Reid and Emily: February 2013
http://reidandemily.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 26, 2013. Is it wrong to pray for church to get cancelled? Cause I might have done just that. But don't judge me- you would have done the same if you'd seen that the winter blizzard predicted to bring 10" of snow did just that! And i hate driving in the snow. Reid thinks I'm a wimp, and he's totally right. But wimp or not- my prayer was answered! And I'm so glad it was! James just did his usual cute things, including walking in circles with an over-sized hat on his head, falling down, g...

Reid and Emily: April 2013
http://reidandemily.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 21, 2013. For Valentine's day, Abby and Eliza melted crayon pieces into heart shapes, adhered them to individually made cards and handed them out to their classmates. They carefully picked out the perfect melted crayon for each friend, based on color preference. Much time and detail went into these.except the part about including. Who the Valentines were from! Sending you some puppy love". You have to face my puppy love". Thanks for being my friend". And the very candy that drives me batty ...

Reid and Emily: Dream house--a fairytale come true?
http://reidandemily.blogspot.com/2015/03/dream-house-fairytale-come-true.html
Monday, March 23, 2015. Dream house- a fairytale come true? Life is good. Really, really good. We are really happy, and our kids are really happy. And often, when life is good I don’t sit down and write about it. I should, of course. But I don’t need. It as an outlet, so it gets put off. But that doesn’t explain why I didn’t write more during the first few months of owning our current house. I surely needed an outlet then! So, how is. Well, here it is:. Unfortunate timing. Understandably upset by thi...

Reid and Emily: March 2014
http://reidandemily.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 26, 2014. In early February we'd made an offer on a house in the boondocks and it was, yet again, rejected. I was so discouraged, and so sick of hearing myself talk about all of this. And then i checked the MLS for the 14th time that day, and voila! There was a house in a great location in the little town of Foxfield. It's on about 3 acres, and close to the schools! I called immediately and set up a showing to go see it the next day with the whole fam. It's zoned for 3 large livestock an...

Reid and Emily: January 2014
http://reidandemily.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 1, 2014. We are on our way home from a wonderful Christmas and New Year's trip spent with both of our families. (We'd hoped to get home today, but between the snow and the traffic, we decided not to push our luck.) We spent eight days with my family in Provo, then 3 days with Reid's in Salt Lake. Yet the highlight might just be the few hours we spent at this little motel. ALLRED FAMILY SUMMARY 2013. 8221; (This is one of their favorite responses to their parents kissing.) In March ...

Reid and Emily: Just some thoughts
http://reidandemily.blogspot.com/2015/06/just-some-thoughts.html
Sunday, June 14, 2015. Abby stayed home sick a few weeks ago with some nasty cough that would not go away. She was supposed to finish her book report, but got distracted doing anything else that wasn't her book report. She prepared a wonderful Family Night lesson. She cleaned her entire room. She read some books, played with James, and didn't watch any TV. I should have her work on her book report more often. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). FEEDJIT Live Traffic Feed.

Reid and Emily: August 2015
http://reidandemily.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 16, 2015. Of Mice and Men. Sometime in mid-April, after the flux of company for Abby's baptism had left, I was peacefully brushing my teeth upstairs when Eliza announced, "Mom, there's a snake in our house! Is that crazy that I'd rather snakes in the house than moths? So the baby snake sat in a small bucket, awaiting it's destiny. The girls grew fond of it, named it, and fed it grass and twigs from outside. That oughtta do the trick. To which he replied "I don't know. I panicked! We only c...

Reid and Emily: January 2013
http://reidandemily.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 31, 2013. Christmas (part 3) in Provo. We had a "Keep It Clear Christmas"- that was a tricky year for gift giving. One year all our gifts had to be Christmacycled. I know ours is not the only family who's adopted this tradition. And wouldn't it be wonderful if this was how the whole world. But if that ever happens, let's just keep it on the down low, 'cause that would also inevitably be the end of the Ashworths. The girls got to stay up until 10pm on New Year's Eve. Conveniently tha...
