Tonga è 13 ore avanti l'ora di Greenwich ( GMT 13). E' quindi 12 ore avanti l'Italia (11 quando in Italia è in vigore l'ora legale). Si può rimanere a Tonga per turismo e business per un periodo non superiore a 30 giorni con il passaporto valido per almeno sei mesi dalla data di arrivo, il biglietto di ritorno e la prova di fondi sufficienti. Per estendere questo periodo bisogna richiedere il permesso al Principal Immigration Officer. E' di 25 T$ (dollari tongani). Basta la normale patente italiana.
