Friday, 13 April 2012. South America here I come. I've just booked my multi-city flights for an upcoming 5 week South America trip. Got a good deal on flights from STA travel - even though I don't fall into the category of student or teacher – they offer price match too - http:/ www.statravel.co.uk/. I found them to be the most competitively priced during my search. Just have the itinerary to finalize now. I look forward to letting you know how I get along…. Tuesday, 10 April 2012. http://www.travelbugbytes.blogspot.com/2012/03/first-of-many.html

Saturday, 17 March 2012. The first of many. The first of many blogs! I hope you will enjoy following me on my travels and pick up helpful suggestions, tips and hints to enhance your own journey. I love to travel. Whenever I have the opportunity but also like to get the most out of my own city - London. When I don't have any overseas trips to write about, I'll aim to get out and about in London and come back here with anything interesting I find. From your friendly (non-biting) TravelBug. The first of many.

TravelBug Bytes: Alpine Antics

http://www.travelbugbytes.blogspot.com/2012/04/alpine-antics.html

Tuesday, 10 April 2012. Morillon - Late March 2012. I just had to take advantage of the great snow this season so I bagged a Swiss flight. To Geneva - @ £49 each way, cheap when you book early. I enjoy flying Swiss – especially during ski season as you don’t have to pay extra for ski gear– plus I love the free chocolates! Booked a rental car via. They usually offer a good deal and there are regular promo codes available if you do a quick Google search. Headed straight up to the Chalet. The Grand Massif,.

TravelBug Bytes: Disclaimer

http://www.travelbugbytes.blogspot.com/2012/04/disclaimer.html

Monday, 9 April 2012. Just a quick disclaimer:. With my blog, I don’t claim to offer an exhaustive guide. On the whole, I’ve tried to put together a bit of what I wished I knew before I went as well as my travel highlights/favourite places. Please bear in mind these are my experiences and my opinions. If I didn't have a full time job, I'd be blogging a lot more so my entries may be a little sporadic. I will try to be as accurate as I can be. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). South America here I come.

8230;I’ll run ’till I finish the race. September 25, 2008. I’m a little annoyed when salesmen are dishonest with me. like when i purchased the ipod nano from the recently held comex. When they refer ‘original’ products as those sold in mac stores and not those with an apple logo;. When a 2 year warranty turned out to be only 1;. When i’m suppose to get my extended warranty within 2 weeks of purchase, instead of… … well, it’s still somewhere out there. Ohhh, so blessed. =). September 18, 2008. To not live...

8230;I’ll run ’till I finish the race. A night of thankfulness. August 31, 2008. I feel like hugging a few people tonight. A pleasant surprise came tonight, which has been unknowingly planted just beside my bed for the past week. :p. And a short chat with a particular special someone i once lost, with simple words of encouragement which poured immense strength over me. And one, who quietly walked the faith journey with me. I love what was shared today. What a great salvation we have. August 30, 2008.

8230;I’ll run ’till I finish the race. November 29, 2008. And so that was the theme of last week’s church service – giving thanks. the service was short, but special. the church was told to sms what they’re thankful for to a certain hotline, after which the messages would be screened at the end of the service. and tears came, of joy and of thankfulness. I am thankful for… (it’s a secret). well, it’s suffice to know what i’m thankful for myself. :p. But well, it was observed that 50% of the crowd seemed t...

We finally embarked our journey to SB2008, the second time round in Singapore, following the first in 2006. Wind on my face, sun in my hair and a hat on my head. I wander. I see. I click and I write. December 15, 2011. Taj Mahal has been one place I have been wanting to visit for years and years! I got a chance, I saw and I fell in LOVE. Incidentally, the article I wrote about it, got published in Yahoo! You can read it here! Thrilled to be a published writer for the first time. Yay! Thursday, July 9, 2015. Run to (in) Cuba! About a month ago, I went to Cuba. When I returned to the US (with working wifi) the trip took over my Instagram feed. But even more so, past reliving the trip thru photos, this one has really resonated with me. I'm in the constant mindset that there's so much of the world to see that I often opt for the new instead of revisiting a destination. But for me, Cuba is different. It's the pulse of Havana that permeates long after that mojito is finished. Stay bitten ;).

Travel Bug Chronicles

The mis-adventures of those living abroad who sometimes wish they weren't. Friday, May 04, 2007. So I was walking home from school today in the pouring rain with my two umbrellas (I had two because I left one at school yesterday) when I passed a girl who works at my school standing waiting for the bus with no umbrella. About 5 seconds later I got splashed by a BMW suv as it went past. Completely splashed. Now that's some backward-ass shit if you ask me. Posted by Going Somewhere @ 4:21 pm. We landed at P...

Preserving the Hmong-American Experience. Sloppy writing is like a stain on your tie. It tells me you don’t have the discipline to concentrate.”. These words lingered with me for the rest of the semester. I was a sloppy writer. When it came to writing, I really didn’t have the discipline to concentrate as Bob mentioned above. I couldn’t focus beyond the first few drafts. I didn’t invest the time to rewrite. Understanding the importance of rewriting:. Understanding that writing discovers:. I still don&#82...
