Narrative of my travels. First through Europe and India, now working in a hospital in Malawi. Saturday, March 26, 2011. We planned to go to Mzuzu in the afternoon after stopping for coffee at the home of one of the doctors who we met earlier in the week, but ended up spending the whole afternoon there! And hearing choirs practicing off in the distance. We had our first beer since arriving (remember Ekwendeni is a mission hospital) and enjoyed the good company. A perfect night in Africa! Day 63: Back Home.

We awoke in time for the complimentary breakfast of eggs and bacon which ended at 10am. Sadly, it was raining. Apparently Amsterdam is known for its rain. But we didn't let it stop us. Eleanor and I met for breakfast at the guesthouse at 6:30. Breakfast consisted of an egg and three pieces of bread. The electricity went out overnight so no toast, but at least we had some good tea!
