1973 Super Beetle Project - VW Bug. Sunday, October 24, 2010. I was having lunch with some friends today and catching up on lost time with our buddy Chris Harkman. Chris asked how "the bug" was coming and I told him it was close to getting on the road. My buddy Mike suggested that we spend a couple hours on it this afternoon and see how far we could get with it. Mike stopped over and we went right to work on the roll-up windows. They are a pain! 1973 Super Beetle Project - VW Bug. Monday, September 13, 2010. The Dash is in. I got some time this evening and was able to get the dash board. I've done a little more small touch-ups on the body and it getting closer to being ready for paint. I know the basic steps for painting a car but I need help with learning and performing the finer parts of this delicate art. Another thought, is paint it with spray cans. 1973 Super Beetle Project - VW Bug. Monday, May 31, 2010. Well I had a chance to work on the bug today. The weather was great so I rolled it out of the garage to some color sanding in a few areas that were still a bit rough. I spent most of the afternoon sanding, buffing and polishing. 1973 Super Beetle Project - VW Bug. Friday, December 25, 2009. Well its hard to find time to work on the bug when its -4 degrees outside. We where taking some pictures for our 2009 Christmas card and someone thought that we should include a picture of the bug.
