Grandma Would Be Proud →. Visit to Pond Hill Farm. February 22, 2011. Last weekend we visited Pond Hill Farm in Harbor Springs, Michigan. What a great place! Their store was full of canned goodies from their own canning facility, freezers full of meats from their naturally raised animals, and fresh greens from their high tunnels. We were so happy to see such a thriving sustainable venture. The only downside to our visit-we came back with a million “project” ideas. This entry was posted in Uncategorized.

Grandma Would Be Proud. March 23, 2011. As I used up the last of our HUGE 32 pound Thanksgiving turkey this week, I thought a lot about my paternal grandmother. She was an environmental health conscious feminist before her time. One of her many talents was the ability to make a weeks worth of great meals from Sunday dinner.
