Women’s World Cup 2015 | Oo's in the Loo?
https://oosintheloo.wordpress.com/2015/07/01/womens-world-cup-2015
Oo's in the Loo? Women’s World Cup 2015. I happened to hear something very interesting this morning on my drive to work: the US women’s football team is advancing to the finals. Tonight they will learn if they face UK or Japan. While I am normally all about the Brits in nearly every aspect of life, I hope the US kicks British ARSE if it comes down to a US/UK final.😛. Tea and Me: Red Velvet | Oo's in the Loo?
https://oosintheloo.wordpress.com/2015/06/24/tea-and-me-red-velvet
Oo's in the Loo? Tea and Me: Red Velvet. Last Friday I went to the English Tea Room – something I hadn’t done in what seems like ages. I picked up an old reliable tea, because I’ve had to tighten my belt financially lately. So I have raspberry chai and this other kind which is a rooibos. It’s rather redundant to call something both a red velvet and a chocolate. Because red velvet is. Share on Facebook (Opens in new window). Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window). The Queen, Duke of Lancaster | Oo's in the Loo?
https://oosintheloo.wordpress.com/2015/05/29/the-queen-duke-of-lancaster
Oo's in the Loo? The Queen, Duke of Lancaster. The city of Lancaster in the county of Lancashire holds a special place in my heart, mostly because of my friend living nearby, but also because Lancaster Castle is the only active castle I’ve visited in all of my stays in England. Everything else has been a ruin. Her majesty has always taken a keen interest in the estate and makes regular visits throughout the year. Information courtesy of BBC News. And the Duchy of Lancaster website. A Typical British Home.

21 Maps of Britain | Oo's in the Loo?
https://oosintheloo.wordpress.com/2015/06/09/21-maps-of-britain
Oo's in the Loo? 21 Maps of Britain. I saw this link on BuzzFeed and it reminded me of my funny map story from my second trip to England in 2008. At the time of my trip, I had discovered historical fiction about Romano-Britain and the period just after, when the Vikings were romping around the countryside. Through my dear friend Jean, I discovered that the Ordinance Survey. So while I was visiting Jean, she suggested that I visit Waterstones. In the shop I found the display of OS maps and quickly found t...

Remembering 7/7 | Oo's in the Loo?
https://oosintheloo.wordpress.com/2015/07/07/remembering-77
Oo's in the Loo? Hard to believe it’s been 10 years since the London bombing. I’m sitting here reading over things and I realise it’s been 10 years, not 9. I was thinking that it happened just before my first trip overseas in 2006, but not so. I guess I don’t remember it properly because that time in 2005 was a tumultuous period in my own life. I.
