Monthly Archives: February 2012. Writer’s block and stuff(ing). February 28, 2012. Wow It’s been over a month since I last wrote. That’s because nothing has happened. I believe our lives were more interesting before I decided to commit to blogging again. It’s cursed us. But our dogs will sure be comfy to lay our heads on. Nothing prepares or compares. Coming Soon(er than expected)…. Our real little illusion. On Nothing prepares or compa…. Karen on Nothing prepares or compa…. Libby on Belly Pride.

Nothing prepares or compares. January 7, 2013. Nothing prepares you for it. Nope. Not talking about parenthood. I’m talking about severe sleep deprivation. Nothing can prepare you. Not stories from moms who’ve gone through it. Not anecdotes nor magazine articles. Not even. And so I leave my bed every morning, somehow feeling like I worked out the day before and exhausted from my attempts to sleep. Photos courtesy of a collaboration of Kevin Lee Studios. Coming Soon(er than expected)…. November 18, 2012.

The suckiness subsides… | unsettled

The suckiness subsides…. August 22, 2012. I’m not so sure but for someone who once feared those internal movements because the concept was so alien, I’m thoroughly enjoying each amazing moment of her water aerobics and, in turn, the pregnancy, however horrendous it began. Nothing to read between the lines…. | unsettled

Nothing to read between the lines…. August 4, 2012. So at yesterday’s anatomy scan of the baby, we were really only concerned with one part in particular. The private one. Granted, the lingering on the baby’s brain was distracting at first, but after it was confirmed that it was a good brain, we went back to anxiously awaiting the news. Mike hadn’t slept in three days. I woke up about three hours earlier than normal. She’s our daughter. 7 responses ». August 4, 2012 at 10:51 am. August 4, 2012 at 10:57 am.

Our real little illusion. September 17, 2012. Look directly above the 1 in 14 to find her nose. Then it’ll come into view from there…. So it’s not the best picture in the world to some, but to us there isn’t a better one in the world. She already melts Mike’s heart and I stare at her every morning. And when I get home from work. And a few more times before bed. One response ». September 18, 2012 at 11:43 am. Awwww…. she’s adorable! Can’t wait to meet her next summer ;0). Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Monthly Archives: November 2012. Coming Soon(er than expected)…. November 18, 2012. Every four weeks, for four months, Mike and I have been happy to have an extra glimpse of our lil’ girl at our extra ultrasounds. When I was initially diagnosed with placenta previa, I hoped it didn’t move immediately so we could get a few more peeks at her. Apparently, I jinxed myself. Even better, is that I’m a perfect candidate for a VBAC and while this might be her grand entry into the world, it doesn’t mean that’s ho...

Monthly Archives: June 2012. Beware of the Flip Flop Fanatics. June 30, 2012. This has nothing to do with pregnancy – just a word of caution to those interested in picking up a pair of $1 flip-flops at Old Navy today. I’ve never experienced this shopping adventure before. I’d like to try to go back in a few hours but I’m not sure. We do have to pick Matt up at the airport at 8pm tonight. It might be cutting it close. I got a pregnancy bodyguard. June 28, 2012. Belly Pride | unsettled

November 4, 2012. The other day I sat in Papa Gino’s, solo, with my two pieces of pizza and felt something I had yet to feel during this pregnancy: a moment of contentment. Sure I’ve allowed myself the satisfaction of cramming sweets and carbs down my throat but it was never without the aftertaste of some guilt. I typically eat healthy food. I envisioned my pregnant-self eating even more healthy food. That hasn’t quite panned out. 2 responses ». November 4, 2012 at 10:22 am. November 12, 2012 at 9:46 pm.

Monthly Archives: January 2012. An unexpected art project. January 24, 2012. At least it's a heart-shaped hole. Those of you who are following Mike’s blog know that he’s working on an art project a day for the next year. Every night he comes home and does something art-related. Tonight, the dogs suggested he put the pen down and the paintbrushes away. A quick trip to Costco combined with a couple of dogs with a little too much freedom resulted in that lovely addition to our chaise lounger. Sectional....
