La fameuse Pacific Highway, la Route 1, est particulièrement prisée pour le tronçon San Francisco-Los Angeles, la chaleur s’intensifiant tout au long de la route alors que les photogéniques palmiers se multiplient et que les piquants Joshua Trees apparaissent. Mais notre itinéraire nous emmenant vers Yosemite, nous avons choisi une autre option, celle du nord, qui engage vers les forêts de séquoia et les belles réserves en rejoignant plus haut la US 101 direction l’Oregon.
