The Amateur Computer Animator: August 2015
http://jrcomputeranimators.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
For Those About to LOL. Sunday, August 16, 2015. Finally, I've decided to announce that I'm working on another After Effects project! Monday, August 3, 2015. Wow Between summer camp, a beach house and a week-long drive, I really haven't been doing much. But anyway, here's my final project from the college class. That I finished over two months ago. Again using Cycles render, I built the room based on pictures, measurements and a self-made floor map of my grandparent's kitchen! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Zoom Times: The Summer of Hummers and Other Bird News
http://zoomtimes.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-summer-of-hummers-and-other-bird.html
Monday, August 10, 2015. The Summer of Hummers and Other Bird News. As you read this, I'm probably on the plane with Leena, heading to see my sister, 2000 miles away, but I am getting seriously behind on my blogging, so I am pre loading a few posts for you. Last summer, Mxyl got a hummingbird feeder and we saw a few hummingbirds- maybe 2 or 3 that summer. This year we moved the feeder to the front porch and we started seeing 2 hummers every morning and evening. Obviously we need more feeders. Did you kno...

The Amateur Computer Animator: January 2014
http://jrcomputeranimators.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
For Those About to LOL. Thursday, January 16, 2014. After weeks of anticipation (from me, anyway) I've finally come to my last post on the college class! One of my favorite things about this is that a lot of it is actually real- I really was standing on that pillar, and Klenda actually was wearing that glove, although it was originally silver (and Zorg's kampilan was photoshopped, unfortunately). You can see where I got. If you have any questions, feel free to post some in the comments! Next, I had to pa...

The Amateur Computer Animator: November 2014
http://jrcomputeranimators.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
For Those About to LOL. Tuesday, November 25, 2014. I've been doing a bit more with After Effects! Although it isn't a perfect matting, I've still done something. Anyway, here's my latest one: Klenda, Oob the Prime Minister and myself in Mongolia! Next up will probably be Japan and India! Tuesday, November 11, 2014. The second one is more of a noticeable self-portrait. I added the shadow manually with the brush tool, and I used a mask again to make the red pictures of me look like I'm in my own eyes.

Zoom Times: All Sorts of Things
http://zoomtimes.blogspot.com/2008/04/all-sorts-of-things.html
Tuesday, April 15, 2008. All Sorts of Things. Have been happening here! We got an unexpected visit from our friend, Fr. Joe. We met him when he was here in the states (for a few years) preparing to set up a university in Nigeria, but we haven't seen him since he baptized Choclo (nearly three years ago). When we first met, Leena was about 7 months old and she positively refused. To smile at him. He took this as a challenge! Speaking to her sister, Elizabeth). "Lizzy, you do not make allowances for dif...

Zoom Times: Off We Go Again
http://zoomtimes.blogspot.com/2015/07/off-we-go-again.html
Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Off We Go Again. We just got back from the beach, but we are headed off on a truly epic road trip! By epic, I mean we'll see at least 9 and as many as 11 states! We'll cross the mighty Mississippi twice. That's in excess of 25,000 miles (40,000 km) and 40 hours (. 6, 000 years. At each stopping place, we've reserved two hotel rooms, one for our four teen children, and the other for the other half of the family. I can't wait to say that out loud to the hotel people. Poem of the Day.

Zoom Times: March 2015

Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Gospel Desserts: Week 5 and Palm Sunday. The fifth Sunday of Lent had the Gospel where Jesus says, "unless the grain of wheat dies, it can not bear fruit." I was still thinking about this, but then we got the call to go to the hospital and I left the dessert in Klenda's capable hands. She made a marbled pound cake using wheat flour! Plus she made a wheat design on top. And then, for Palm Sunday, she made a Tiramisu cake, decorated with a palm. Monday, March 30, 2015. One fun thin...

Sunday, August 30, 2015. Poem of the Week: Lochnivar. By Sir Walter Scott. O young Lochinvar is come out of the west,. Through all the wide Border his steed was the best;. And save his good broadsword he weapons had none,. He rode all unarm’d, and he rode all alone. So faithful in love, and so dauntless in war,. There never was knight like the young Lochinvar. He staid not for brake, and he stopp’d not for stone,. He swam the Eske river where ford there was none;. But ere he alighted at Netherby gate,.
