Friday, February 13, 2009. Nope, the tornado did not take out our house. It. Incredibly close by - approximately 2 miles down the road. We don't even have any fallen branches. But our lucky streak of being out of town at the right time continues.I thought it was broken when we were in town for the ice storm 2 weeks ago. Instead, we got to miss the tornado! We were our way back from Miami Beach when the tornado hit - we found out about it from the worried voicemails on our cellphones when we landed :).

Thursday, October 14, 2010. Xiao Li turned two years old last month, but she didn't have her two-year check-up until last week. I'm proud to say that she continues to occupy the high end of the height and weight spectrum. At 35 cm and 30 pounds, she is solidly in the top quartile.
