Random Thoughts: February 2009
http://somescrawling.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 22, 2009. A proud moment for every Indian. What a night at the Oscar's for Indians. At this point in time, as I scribble a few lines here, 4 Oscars have come our way. 2 to ARR, 1 to Resul. And 1 for 'Smile Pinki. A documentary based on a small girl living in rural Uttar. Coming from humble beginnings, ARR has reached phenomenal heights. The Oscars notwithstanding, his music has made him an internationally known figure. Personally, I wouldn't rate Slumdog. Friday, February 6, 2009. As far...

Random Thoughts: March 2009
http://somescrawling.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 26, 2009. Sab log on Picasa! It was a funtastic trip! Over a 1000 miles of driving taught me a lot about how to drive, rather. Getting myself 'photographed' for over speeding, being pulled up by cops on the freeway for alleged drunken driving, slapped a. Fine for parking at the wrong place is sure to teach a lesson or two isn't it? It was a well deserved break! It was great making the trip with some wonderful people, better still meeting a friend. After a long time. Favorite Films Of 2015.

Random Thoughts: The Indian Political League
http://somescrawling.blogspot.com/2009/05/indian-political-league.html
Wednesday, May 13, 2009. The Indian Political League. All indicators seem to point to a badly fractured verdict on the 16th of May. But, nothing is certain till the last vote has been counted! During a casual chat with one my friends today, he made the point that this election is probably not a bad one to lose! Interesting to note that you also believe in another couple of years time. Ps : Was hoping for a plug for my post here. Lol. May 15, 2009 at 12:12 AM. May 15, 2009 at 12:12 AM. Defending the "inde...

Random Thoughts: January 2009
http://somescrawling.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 10, 2009. My steadfastness in keeping myself up to date with almost all tamil movie releases is something I am 'very proud' of. Tiruvannamalai-action jothi would probably be the last on the 'to see' movie list of all Indians alive, with the exception of those who made it. I beg(gged) to be different. Thank GOD for the fact that I wasn't put off by this. Coming from this immensely talented director named Perarasu (I had a tough time spelling it out! Perarasu: Most reviews I read did not ...

Random Thoughts: November 2008
http://somescrawling.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 30, 2008. Enough and perhaps more that what is necessary has already been said and seen on the 60 hour terror-hostage drama. To see Mumbai, the financial capital of our country being held to ransom was extremely saddening. The modus operandi of the terrorists is a rudewake up call to our lax security system. The ridiculous failure of our intelligence is of serious concern. While Mr. Ratan Tata. 3 At one point, breaking news read 'First blasts after Obama's victory'. Can it get more r...

Random Thoughts: June 2008
http://somescrawling.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 25, 2008. The Pradhakshanams were small no doubt, but the milling crowd made it impossible to move even remotely close to being free. It seemed as though I was surrounded by a barricade with a fat, slow moving woman in the front, a thin, brisk, young man looking for a 'gap' to get past me, a very vocal Bhaktha on my left, chanting Govindaaa Govindaaa GHOvindaa and a newly wed (not so sure! Number of people who barged into me (knowingly or unknowingly) = 356. I threw my weight around =173.

Random Thoughts: August 2008

Thursday, August 21, 2008. A few we(A)eks in the US. It has been about twenty days since I landed in LA and my experiences thus far have been a mixed bag. One of the high points, ever since I stepped out of my home at Aminjikarai. Was perhaps meeting Rajini. Though merely by chance, on my flight from Chennai to Hong. Kong I am still ruing over a missed opportunity to pose along side the Super Star. We 'spoke' about Kuselan. At my insistence for about 30 seconds and I was forced to leave the place. Wherea...

Random Thoughts: October 2008
http://somescrawling.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 18, 2008. There are enough distractions to take the spotlight away from cricket this time around-what with Ganguly's. Retirement, talks about the Fab-four and of course Sachin's. But, a grave issue confronting India is the form of Anil. He has looked very pedestrian in the last few series and showed no indications of returning to form in the first test. His average has risen dangerously close to 30.00 and by almost a point since the beginning of 2008. Used to come naturally to Kumble.

Random Thoughts: July 2008
http://somescrawling.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 20, 2008. With only a couple of days to go for the trust vote, the UPA managed to increase its tally by one more as the entire political fraternity is keeping its fingers crossed as to the eventual outcome. An interesting aside to the larger picture has emerged. Tuesday, July 8, 2008. How often in history has Indian polity seen a Prime Minister who stands firm, not wilting under the pressure of his coalition partners? The coming weeks would be filled with intense political activity-hectic par...
