Vintage Bird Girl: She had a blind date with destiny
http://vintagebirdgirl.blogspot.com/2015/07/she-had-blind-date-with-destiny.html
Friday, 31 July 2015. She had a blind date with destiny. I've had this dress for at least 4 years or more, but I haven't worn it much over that time. I think I've realized it's more suited to the pregnant shape! I'm SO glad I have a number of vintage frocks that translate to maternity wear. It means I've had to buy very little in the way of clothing since getting pregnant. Just as well when everything else to do with having a baby seems to cost so much! 30 week Bean belly. 2 bakelite bangles - Ebay.

Vintage Bird Girl: April 2015
http://vintagebirdgirl.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, 26 April 2015. I'm one happy mumma to be. It's finally turned a bit cooler here, so polyester can finally reign without feeling like a walking sauna. My belly is looking more pregnant by the day instead of just podgy (I felt my first wee kicks the other day which was a joyous moment). And today I got to squeeze a couple of my vintage loves Celia of Kitty's Vintage and Kitsch. And Trudie of My Vintage Childhood. Who were selling their wares at the Collectorville Fair. Here are some pics of the fair.

Vintage Bird Girl: October 2014
http://vintagebirdgirl.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Friday, 31 October 2014. If you don't love me now, you will never love me again. Is anyone else finding that blog comments are much less then they used to be? Sometimes I wonder if anyone is actually reading anymore, although I've been kind of slack with my commenting on the blogs I follow too. Perhaps all the action is over at Instagram, where I tend to spend more time these days. Oh well I'll just keep on talking to myself in this visual diary of mine! 60's cotton dress - Garage sale. Vintage Bird Girl: Polkadot Crimplene
http://vintagebirdgirl.blogspot.com/2015/07/polkadot-crimplene.html
Friday, 24 July 2015. This crimplene frock has a crazy skinny collar. It almost put me off buying it. Despite that strange feature, I do like a polkadot frock, and I'm drawn to that bright shade of blue. It "just" goes over the bump, I doubt I'll get to wear it again. I always safety pin my button up frocks just in case they pop, and this one really needed it! The outfit is head to toe vintage, apart from the tights and sunglasses. 28 week Vintage Baby Bean bump. Vintage crimplene dress - Op shopped.

Vintage Bird Girl: December 2014
http://vintagebirdgirl.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 30 December 2014. I've Caught the Crafty Bug. Here are a few of my recent creations. Vintage tape measure and old teaspoon brooch. Some mini embroidery hoop brooches, which could be worn as pendants too. Onto sewing.a bolero that I winged from my favourite sheet without a pattern. My sheet dress from a 60's Simplicity pattern. My first sewing attempt with a childhood sheet.maybe that is where my love of green came from? And another dress from the Simplicity pattern, this time with double ric-rac.
