Sunday, April 24, 2011. The Easter bunny still visits me every year. His love knows no age boundaries. It's 12:15 pm and all I've eaten today is jelly beans, Haribo Happy Cola gummis, and a chocolate egg. My Mom just told me that if I don't eat anything normal I'm going to die. Tuesday, August 31, 2010. The Comfort of Darkness. Is it odd to find such the darkness and ominous mood so appealing? But it's dark. I welcome the creepy, the gory, the heavy and emotional. I want to watch scary movies, hunt for mushrooms in the gloomy damp woods and read some Poe. Or maybe I'll read Stiff. Again It's one of my favorite books ever and it's about human cadavers. Since my last post I left my job of 2.5 years, took a week off and enjoyed some much needed R and R, and this past week I started my semester-long student teaching gig. Awesome! Monday, July 26, 2010. I like to tease people in a non-malicious, lighthearted way. That's what we Westby's do. It's how we show love. We like to joke and tease, and on occasion, we openly laugh at people and their ridiculousness. We're not haters, we're just really good at finding the humor in things.
