Within the 5 years that followed, I moved to Paris, DC, Tunis and most recently, Abidjan. After a year in Abidjan and all of its adventures, I am now living in beautiful Guinea Bissau. I am Joanna. Follow me as I travel the world and discover new places. Outside the market, there is a another market that sells fruit, vegetables and of the utensils needed for sushi making. If you come hungry, you can eat some of the freshest sushi in the land in any of the tiny sushi restaurants and cafes surrounding the market. We didn't feel like standing in line and made a bee-line for a place that was empty and had amazing food!

The visit to the Basilica left me feeling troubled because I couldn't take in the beauty of the place - I could only think of the better uses for the money elsewhere. That said, the locals were really, really nice people and the change of pace compared to Abidjan was palpable.

There are shrines everywhere, and so many sights, we knew we’d never manage to see them all. Rather than try, and risk becoming what I call templed out , we chose the main sights in Kyoto and Nara.

All of the town's women turned out to welcome the arrival of new agricultural tools that were being donated to the community.
