All about wine and spirits. Sunday, January 16, 2011. Old Vintages of Barolo or Pour It and They Will Come. There are wines that burn their way into your taste memory and turn rational analysis on its head. Somewhat like the magic of a great work of art, or the heartbreak of an exquisitely performed opera. Try to bear this in mind because we are about to encounter one of those wines. 1978 Mauro Osvaldo Barolo. 1981 Casa Vincola Nino Negri Inferno. 1980 Brunello di Montalcino. Posted by Frank Haddad.

2003 Betz Family Cabernet Sauvignon Père de Famille - Bottle Notes | Zinfandel Chronicles
http://www.zinfandelchronicles.com/2015/08/2003-betz-family-cabernet-sauvignon-pere-de-famille-bottle-notes
2003 Betz Family Cabernet Sauvignon Père de Famille – Bottle Notes. By Tom Lee on August 13, 2015. Was founded in 1997 by Bob and Cathy Betz. Critical acclaim from local and national wine publications has put Betz Family Winery at the forefront of Washington wines alongside Cayuse. The winery was sold to Steve and Bridget Griessel (with Bob Betz remaining on as the winemaker), and I fully expect quality will remain high for years to come. My rating: 94 points. In the glass: Wine and Climate Change or don't sell the ranch
http://intheglass.blogspot.com/2010/12/wine-and-climate-change-or-dont-sell.html
All about wine and spirits. Sunday, December 12, 2010. Wine and Climate Change or don't sell the ranch. Dad, I don’t know what you’ve heard about global warming. But it looks like we might be making a mistake selling the ranch. I know cattle prices are down and all, but apparently a rock ranch might have some value about now. There was some big study done on Climate Change. And the BC government is thinking BC can grow grapes. Somewhere besides the Okanagan. Sure beats a couple of grand for grazing land.
