Geoffrey P Moore Writes: November 2005
http://geoffreymoore.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
Geoffrey P Moore Writes. Monday, November 14, 2005. No burnt offerings at Crime Bake. Agents, Editors and Publishers pose for the camera after their panel discussion, "The Face of the Industry". A recipe for a two-day event that is inspiring, challenging and downright fun. Gather a large portion of healthy (and some unhealthy) New England mystery writers, a heaping of editors, agents and publishers and add them into a ballroom sized container. Top with the creative process live: real time novel writing.

http://geoffreymoore.blogspot.com/2007/11/answer-book-to-have.html
Geoffrey P Moore Writes. Wednesday, November 14, 2007. The answer - the book to have. As I mentioned there are numerous sources of guidance for the beginning writer. In my mind one stands out above others and that is:. More details at Amazon. Reviews are "wow this is great" to "anyone who needs this must be a bad writer". Guess I know where I stand. Stay tuned for others that have a permanent place in my growing collection. Posted by Geoff : 3:52 PM. Comments: Post a Comment. View my complete profile.

Geoffrey P Moore Writes: March 2006
http://geoffreymoore.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html
Geoffrey P Moore Writes. Thursday, March 02, 2006. Is it a bird, is a plane, will it take off? Time will tell if a group of writers from Lincoln, who met on a cold March evening, has what it takes to meld into a supportive and effective critique group. Organized by Librarian of the Year (2005) and mystery maven, Jean Bracken, the Lincoln Library sponsored group of ten met to decide their ground rules, modus operandi and more importantly, who goes first. Will deadlines encourage attendance or excuses?

Geoffrey P Moore Writes: Writing can be such a tease
http://geoffreymoore.blogspot.com/2007/11/writing-can-be-such-tease.html
Geoffrey P Moore Writes. Tuesday, November 13, 2007. Writing can be such a tease. A jumble of books on the craft of writing competes for space on my crowded bookshelves. One book never finds a resting place there. It is possibly the best book on writing non-fiction or fiction that I have ever read and has become a go to reference work due to its simplicity of structure and working examples. I read it cover to cover and now dip in to it for specific topics. Posted by Geoff : 3:48 PM.

Geoffrey P Moore Writes: October 2007
http://geoffreymoore.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Geoffrey P Moore Writes. Tuesday, October 23, 2007. Do chat rooms work? Networking usually involves face-time. Since this has to be done in real time it's not always convenient. In fact my experience is that the networking event is often shorter than the time taken to make the journey. So is it possible to network anonymously, using only a keyboard and derive some tangible benefits? Poked by ‘reece’ I jumped into action, asking a few of questions that I might use in a one on one setting, but soliciting i...

Geoffrey P Moore Writes: To flashforward or to foreshadow - know the difference
http://geoffreymoore.blogspot.com/2007/11/to-flashforward-or-to-foreshadow-know.html
Geoffrey P Moore Writes. Saturday, November 17, 2007. To flashforward or to foreshadow - know the difference. I just realized that flashforward (think of it as the opposite of flashback) is not the same as foreshadowing. I would like to expand on this using information from the book I also mentioned in the last post. According to Jon Franklin in his book 'Writing for Story' "flashforward is a woebegotten technique that usually goes something like:. Joe chose to go to the prom with. View my complete profi...
