Comics and commentary: A re-release of my autobiographical college comics. Kelly #4: Halloween Costume. Some may say not wearing a costume on Halloween is lazy:. 8220;How dare that uncreative soul not even put in the minimum effort and still expect candy and punch at our party! 8220;We are finally in college, it’s time to let lose, especially clothing-wise.”. https://klcomics.wordpress.com/2012/10/24/kelly-3-the-boy-store
Comics and commentary: A re-release of my autobiographical college comics. Kelly # 3: The Boy Store. How much easier would dating be if we could just go to a store and find our type in a variety of styles? In a world of Babies R Us and Container Stores, Boys 4 U! Seems possible, although I suppose that is now what online dating is for. Over time Kelly would have a few too many pratfalls to ever seriously be dating, while her comic brother had his owns unique ideas about dating. Respond Away Cancel reply.

Comics and commentary: A re-release of my autobiographical college comics. Kelly # 5: Forgotten Vote. Hopefully my love of history and cast of a Revolutionary War solider, suffragette, and hippie colorfully illustrated my point. Now I really don’t have to reiterate these ghosts of voting past do I? Well I am still going to:. Go out and vote! While knowing I didn’t let the ghosts of voting past down this year. Respond Away Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Address never made public). Kelly #6: Home Visit | KL Comics
https://klcomics.wordpress.com/2012/12/05/kelly_6_home_visit
Comics and commentary: A re-release of my autobiographical college comics. Kelly #6: Home Visit. Speaking of cars, as freshmen we were not allowed to have vehicles, so I often relied on the generosity of my parents and grandmother to get home. It’s too bad I didn’t draw a comic of my first experience taking a city bus. It resulted in me getting off at the wrong stop and running across a six-lane highway to Wegmans. Kelly #10: The New Semester | KL Comics
https://klcomics.wordpress.com/2013/01/22/kelly-10-new-semester
Comics and commentary: A re-release of my autobiographical college comics. Kelly #10: The New Semester. Some Things Never Change…. A new semester at college meant one important thing for me: more comics to draw! Not that I didn’t miss learning the steps for the English waltz in my international dance gym class or studying for my math in action’s poker exam (true things my classes focused on), but to return to drawing. Was something I took pleasure in crossing off my “to do” list. Respond Away Cancel reply.

https://klcomics.wordpress.com/2013/03/29/kelly-12-binghamton-blizzard
Comics and commentary: A re-release of my autobiographical college comics. Kelly #12: The Binghamton University Blizzard. Snow days were the epitome of innocent fun. As elementary students my brother and I would gather in front of the TV each morning during winter to see if our school district made the cancellation list, although a delay would have been fine with us too. And in college all forms of breaks were prayed for but, according to the upper classmen, you were more likely to freeze as you trudged ...

Comics and commentary: A re-release of my autobiographical college comics. Kelly # 14: In the Category of Most Embarrassing Moment Goes to… Kelly. I am going to geek out a bit and admit that I love the Academy Awards. In fact, I have a fake Oscar statue at my parents’ house from Universal Studios Orlando. Although a huge part of our culture’s zeitgeist, film and Hollywood recognition did not have a wide following back home. Thus when I met fellow film fans in college I was giddy! Singin’ in the Rain.

Kelly 9: Freshman Winter Break | KL Comics
https://klcomics.wordpress.com/2013/01/13/kelly-9-freshman-winter-break
Comics and commentary: A re-release of my autobiographical college comics. Kelly 9: Freshman Winter Break. Freshman year winter break. The first time I had the dichotomy of my homesicknesses for home being replaced with homesickness for school. However, over the years this separation between my co-existing worlds at home and at school was split further by my extended visits to NYC and England, which increasingly opened my eyes to worlds beyond rural PA. Comics and commentary: A re-release of my autobiographical college comics. Kelly #7: Introduction to Facebook. Remember when only people with college email addresses could belong to Facebook? The year 2006 doesn’t sound like that long ago and, yet, there have been numerous changes to this – and countless other – social networking sites. Suffice to say, I hadn’t heard of Facebook until college and had no desire to join until my fellow freshman egged me on. Now you can follow and tweet @KelseyLeljedal.

Kelly #11: Multitasking | KL Comics
https://klcomics.wordpress.com/2013/01/31/kelly-11-multitasking
Comics and commentary: A re-release of my autobiographical college comics. Multitasking: something that too many of us do even though it really is not productive. In the true tradition of my generation, once I got to college my multitasking had to increase ten-fold just to get everything done. What a luxury it was then to go to college and actually be able to use the wifi on my laptop! Speaking of which, once Kelly discovered Facebook. 8211; catching up on some TV. 8211; outlining an important essay.
